ESTA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN METODO DE CODIFICACION DE UN VECTOR DE AUDIOSEÑAL MUESTREADO MEDIANTE LA SELECCION DE UN VECTOR DE EXCITACION OPTIMA EN UN LIBRO DE CODIFICACION ADAPTIVO (100). ESTE VECTOR DE EXCITACION OPTIMA ES OBTENIDO MEDIANTE LA MAXIMIZACION DE LA ENERGIA NORMALIZADA DE LA INTERCORRELACION CUADRADA ENTRE LA CONVOLUCION (102) DE LOS VECTORES DE EXCITACION CON LA RESPUESTA DE IMPULSO (H SUB W(N)) DE UN FILTRO LINEAL Y EL VECTOR DE AUDIOSEÑAL.
