Abstract
EL FLUIDO PROCEDENTE DE UN POZO DE PETROLEO EN PRUEBAS SE DEJA ACUMULAR EN UN DEPOSITO DE SEDIMENTACION Y, TRAS UN TIEMPO PREDETERMINADO DE SEDIMENTACION, SE BOMBEA A TRAVES DE UN MEDIDOR DE FLUJO (25) Y UN MEDIDOR DE CORTE DE AGUA (30). ESTE ULTIMO DETERMINA EN PRIMER LUGAR LA IMPEDANCIA DEL AGUA LIBRE BOMBEADA DESDE EL DEPOSITO Y, POSTERIORMENTE, LA IMPEDANCIA DE LA EMULSION DE PETROLEO/AGUA QUE CIRCULA DESDE EL DEPOSITO. LA RAZON ENTRE LA IMPEDANCIA DE IMPULSION Y LA IMPEDANCIA DEL AGUA LIBRE ES PROPORCIONAL AL PORCENTAJE DE CORTE DE AGUA DEL FLUIDO DURANTE LA FASE DE AGUA CONTINUA. CUANDO LA EMULSION ENTRA EN LA FASE DE PETROLEO CONTINUO, EL SISTEMA UTILIZA LA IMPEDANCIA DE SONDA PARA LA DETERMINACION DEL CORTE DE AGUA. SE COMBINAN LAS SEÑALES DE CORTE DE AGUA Y DE REGIMEN DE FLUJO PARA CALCULAR EL CONTENIDO TOTAL DE PETROLEO Y AGUA DEL DEPOSITO DE SEDIMENTACION. LA MAGNITUD DE LA DIFERENCIA DE FASE ENTRE LAS SEÑALES DE SONDA DE VOLTAJE Y CORRIENTE DE ALTA FRECUENCIA SE UTILIZA PARA DETERMINAR EL PUNTO EN QUE LA EMULSION PASA A LA FASE DE PETROLEO CONTINUO.
