Abstract

The invention consists of an assembly formed by a crankshaft and a double-acting piston interconnected by means of a bolt which slides along a through-hole which traverses the walls of the piston. The movement is transmitted from the crankshaft to the piston or vice- versa by means of the bolt. The mechanism is simpler than mechanisms known in the current state of the art, advantageously replaces current crankshaft/piston or piston/crankshaft connection systems, reduces the requirement for space and allows better performance by virtue of the dual action of the piston. The mechanism applies directly to gasoline engines and fluid compressors.
