Abstract

Procedure to reduce the current intensity in the neutral of three-phase alternating current networks. Applicable to installations which comprise distorting receivers 1, 2, 3 connected to the neutral 7 and the phases 4, 5, 6 of the network. Between the receivers 1, 2, 3 and the neutral 7 there are located capacitors 8, 9, 10. It is characterised in that to reduce the current intensity in the neutral 7, reactance coils 15 are provided between the capacitors 8, 9, 10 and the neutral 7. The reactance coils 15 are intercalated between capacitors 8, 9, 10 associated with three distorting receivers 1, 2, 3, such that each receiver 1, 2, 3 is connected to one of the phases 4, 5, 6 and neutral 7. The distorting receivers 1, 2, 3 are grouped in three- phase star assemblies 100, 200, 300, ..., 6000 and with the reactance coil 115, 215, 315, ..., 6015 between the capacitors associated with the three-phase assembly 100, 200, 300, ..., 6000 and the neutral 7 with cutout devices 12, 13, 14. It diminishes and inverts the reinforcement effect caused by the presence of capacitors.
