LA UTILIZACION DE ESTA BACTERIA EN PROCESOS FERMENTATIVOS, UTILIZANDO DIFERENTES FUENTES DE CARBONO (AZUCARES, ALPECHIN O ACIDOS ALCANOICOS), POSIBILITA LA PRODUCCION DE HOMOPOLIMEROS (POLI-3 HIDROXIBUTIRATO) O COPOLIMEROS (POLI-3 HIDROXIBUTIRATO/3 HIDROXIVALERATO), SIENDO LA RELACION MOLECULAR DE LOS COPOLIMEROS DEPENDIENTE DE LA RELACION NUTRICIONAL GLUCOSA/PROPIONICO Y GLUCOSA/VALERICO.THE PRESENT INVENTION CONSISTS OF A NEW MICROORGANISM (AZOTOBACTER CHROOCOCCUM CEPA PHA, CECT 4435), OBTAINED THROUGH N-METHYL-N-NITRO-N-NITROSOGUANIDINE, CAPABLE OF ACCUMULATING DURING ITS GROWTH.
