Abstract

A process for treatment of the liquid effluent from the petroleum industry and petrochemical industry. It is characterized in that (i) there must be no seepage below the first metre of depth, nor surface run-off; (ii) the average flow per m2 of park and day must be 1-4 litres; (iii) the duration of the periods of flow and drying must be 15-45 days; (iv) the park is scarified to a depth of 1 metre each annual campaign and is tilled to a depth of 40-50 cm each drying period; (v) the land must be clayey; (vi) the land must be neutral or basic; (vii) in each annual cycle the land must be analysed to depths of 0-50 cm and 50-100 cm.
