Abstract

The system can be applied to surgical procedures concerning the cervical spine carried out via the anterior route, specifically in intervertebral disc surgery, in which the disc is removed and in which there is posterior application of the graft 1 in a cavity defined between the corresponding vertebrae 5 in order to achieve corresponding bone consolidation. The immobilization of the graft 1, according to the system, is achieved by means of a plate 4 which is fastened frontally on the vertebrae 5 by means of expansion through-bolts 2 passing through the said plate 4 and anchored in the vertebrae 5, also having one or more screws 3 for anchoring to the corresponding graft 1. The inner screw threaded in the inner part of the stud and which, as it advances, gives rise to expansion of the fins of this outer stud 2 and consequently the anchoring of the assembly on the actual vertebrae 5.
