LAS CARACTERISTICAS DEL CAMBIO DE FASE HACEN QUE SEA MUY ADECUADO PARA SER UTILIZADO EN SISTEMAS DE CALEFACCION TANTO INDUSTRIAL COMO DOMESTICO. SE PRESENTA UN EJEMPLO DE APLICACION AL CASO DEL ACONDICIONAMIENTO DE UN LOCAL MEDIANTE SUELO RADIANTE. EL DISPOSITIVO DESCRITO SE ALIMENTA MEDIANTE ENERGIA ELECTRICA. LA ACUMULACION DE CALOR EN EL CAMBIO DE FASE PERMITE UN OPTIMO APROVECHAMIENTO DE LA REDUCCION POR TARIFA NOCTURNA. SE MUESTRAN ASIMISMO LAS VENTAJAS DE ESTA FORMA DE ACUMULACION FRENTE A LA QUE UTILIZA EL CALOR SENSIBLE.NEOPENTILGLICOL PRESENTS A PHASE CHANGE IN SOLID STATE BETWEEN 34 AND 39º EXCHANGING 32 KCAL. KGBS-1 SC, APPROXIMATELY. THIS PROCESS IS USED AS A HEAT ACCUMULATION METHOD. THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PHASE CHANGE MAKE IT VERY SUITABLE FOR USE IN BOTH INDUSTRIAL AND DOMESTIC HEATING SYSTEMS. AN EXAMPLE OF APPLICATION IS PRESENTED IN THE CASE OF THE CONDITIONING OF A PREMISES THROUGH UNDERFLOOR HEATING. THE DESCRIBED DEVICE IS SUPPLIED BY ELECTRICAL ENERGY. THE ACCUMULATION OF HEAT IN THE PHASE CHANGE ALLOWS AN OPTIMUM USE OF THE REDUCTION BY NIGHT RATE. THE ADVANTAGES OF THIS FORM OF ACCUMULATION AGAINST THE ONE THAT USES SENSITIVE HEAT ARE ALSO SHOWN.
