Abstract

A grid system for a suspended ceiling hanging from a bare ceiling consists of a plurality of longitudinal girders (1) running parallel and spaced apart and of transverse-girder members (4) running at right angles thereto. The transverse-girder members (4) engage with insertion tongues (9) in apertures (10) of the web face (2) of the longitudinal girders (1). The apertures (10) widen from the bottom upwards. The insertion tongues (9) can be inserted obliquely into the apertures (10). A lateral spring projection (18) then pushes the insertion tongue (9) into its vertical position, a projection (14) at the upper edge of the aperture (10) positively engaging in a retaining notch (15) on the upper border (16) of the insertion tongue (9).
