Abstract

Disposición para cerrar de manera estanca la junta entre dos secciones de tubería, cada una de las cuales tiene caras de junta de obturación generalmente concéntricas, comprendiendo la disposición un anillo de obturación hecho de material elástico, estando diseñado dicho anillo de obturación para aplicarse sobre una de las tuberías mencionadas y situarse contra una cara de la junta de obturación y contra una cara de soporte que se extiende en dirección transversal a dicha cara de junta de obturación, con lo cual el anillo de obturación es comprimido entre dicha cara de junta de obturación y una cara de junta de obturación de la otra tubería mencionada, cuando las tuberías están unidas axialmente, caracterizada porque el anillo de obturación tiene formado un saliente que rodea al anillo y, cuando el anillo de obturación es aplicado a dicha primera tubería, dicho saliente es proyectado en el sentido de se pararse de la cara de la junta de obturación, y, cuando las dos tuberías están unidas, dicho saliente es empujado por dicha segunda tubería entre la cara de junta de obturación de dicha segunda tubería y una parte de base conformada del anillo de obturación, cuya parte de base se sitúa contra la cara de soporte mencionada, siendo la dimensión radial de la parte de base del anillo de obturación igual o menor que la distancia radial entre las caras de la junta de obturación.
