Abstract
The nozzle for gas-wiping excess flowable coating agent from continuously moving surfaces, for example galvanised sheet strip, has a hollow base body which extends across the entire width of the coating device and in which pressurised gas which is to be blown out can distribute itself and which is provided with an elongate outlet extending over the length of the base body and having a nozzle slot in its plane side, from which the gas is blown; the exit width of the nozzle slot can be limited by covering elements which can be loosely placed on the side of the outlet, so that pressurised gas emerges under control only where it is required. <IMAGE>
