Abstract
The customary devices for heating material extruded in bars, in which the material to be heated is conveyed via a channel and heated by means of a heating product, such as, for example, hot air, have the drawback that, as a consequence of the difference in temperature between the extruded material and the hot air, which diminishes in the direction of the exit from the work channel, heating can be generated only slowly and irregularly. In the novel device, the work channel is subdivided into a number of mutually connected zones in which emerges, respectively, at least one inlet for the controlled supply of the heating product, a common outlet for the heating product consumed being arranged at the end of the channel. In the novel device, the transverse molecular movement of the molecules of air is increased at least to the same extent as the difference in temperature diminishes. Thus it is possible to guarantee a uniform transfer of heat. Vulcanizing of profiled material.
