Abstract

The body of the purifier consists of a rotary drum arranged horizontally and along which there is, in its inside, a series of sections or portions for dilution and repulping 4 which alternate with other sections for filtering or drainage 7. Lastly, there is a filtering and washing section 8. The dilution and repulping sections 4 define individual cylindrical chambers divided into compartments by means of annular plates 9 provided with peripheral labyrinthine passages 11, also including agitator blades. The filtration sections 7 are also defined by chambers which are cylindrical but with a double perforated partition 17 and 18, inside which there are drainage deflectors for forming passages of decreasing section for the forced, screened expulsion of the treated product towards the annular compartment 20 formed by the two perforated partitions 17 and 18. There are also water- outlet nozzles 22 for evacuating the screened product, forcing it by means of the action of spiral blades 23. Between the dilution 4 and subsequent filtering 7 sections, there are annular plates which define the corresponding end walls, there being spiral blades for transferring the product towards the subsequent filtering section 7. There is a similar device between the filtering 7 and subsequent dilution 4 sections.
