Abstract
It supplies halogen lamps connected in series, and has as its objective to maintain the intensity constant independently of the number of lamps and provide a means of protection to permit changing one or several halogen lamps, which are connected in series, when one or more of same blow. It has a phase control circuit 4 which is connected to a luminous intensity detection circuit 9 and an open circuit detector 7, which notifies a cutout in the halogen lamps circuit 1, and which is connected to a delay circuit 6 which in turn is connected to an opening device actuated by open circuit 5 inhibiting supply to the halogen lamps 1, a certain time having elapsed since the cutout occurred in the circuit of said halogen lamps 1. The phase detector 4 is an integrated circuit which comprises a zero cross-over detection circuit, and a pulse train trigger circuit, its input being determined by a negative feedback circuit in order to effect an automatic output voltage adjustment permitting a variation in the number of halogen lamps 1.
