Abstract

This adjuster, whose aim is to achieve an anti-locking effect on the wheels, has a metering valve 1 intended for being placed in the main brake circuit 2-3 and for alternately interrupting continuity in one and the other of the conduits of said main circuit, for which purpose said valve incorporates, inside, an obturator slide actuated by two hydraulic, counterpoised cylinders 7-7' which also act in counterposition and which are driven by a double-acting pump 13 which gives rise to a retraction of the plunger of the cylinder 7 which is simultaneous with the propulsion of the plunger of the cylinder 7', and vice versa. A rest valve 19 is interposed between the pump 18 and the metering valve 1 and it keeps the latter isolated from the pump whilst there is no action on the brake pedal, an operation in which, via the conduit 20 for access to the rest valve 19, establishes direct communication in this valve, via the conduits 18, between the outlets 17 of the pump 13 and the cylinders 7-7' of the metering valve 1.
