Abstract

It is formed by a network of pipes which is supplied from the compressor, automatic valves for maintaining the pressure in the tyres constant, a panel for monitoring and advising of the occurrence of a puncture, and a system for joining the fixed installation to wheels of the vehicle. Optionally, it will carry an automatic system for taring of the automatic valves. The air from the compressor is filtered and conveyed to automatic valves which open upon a drop in the pressure, on the lower wheel side, of the tare pressure. Optical and acoustic warning devices provide information about such an occurrence on the monitoring panel, as do manometers which indicate the existing pressure. The automatic taring (calibration) system makes it possible to carry out calibrations electronically instead of manually. It applies to the automotive industry.
