Abstract
A refractory mortar or refractory cement includes at least one conventional refractory material, such as tabular alumina, clay and a temporary bonding agent comprising 3 to 15 wt.%, with respect to all the components, of at least one drying oil, such as linseed oil. The cement or mortar is used to fill the joint 4 between the opening in nozzle brick 2 and the replaceable gas flushing plug 3. The nozzle brick 2 is mortared in the ladle bottom 1 of a steel powing ladle.
