Abstract

This is a process for the restricted drying of a continuous sheet of paper in a drying section of a machine for manufacturing paper. The process includes the stages of wrapping the sheet in a felt during the passage of the sheet with the felt around a dryer of the drying section and then wrapping the sheet around a portion of a guide device arranged immediately downstream of the dryer to minimize curling of the edge of the continuous sheet.
