Digital Transmission Methods That Use Modulated Carrier Waves
(AREA)
Abstract
Method of signalling for mobile communications channels. The object is to make possible the use of frequencies of up to 900 MHz, maintaining the parameters used by conventional mobile radio systems and with respect to those, achieving a substantially improved probability of reception. It has a first phase which consists of bringing about an increase in the speed of transmission to twice the value used by means of PSK modulation. It has a second phase which consists of repeating each block of messages twice. It has a third phase which consists of bringing about reception by difference in time, so as to compare each bit received of the formation block with the corresponding bit of the repeated information block, choosing the most probable value of the two bits, or selecting the one of the two blocks which has been received without error.
