Abstract
It applies to dolls, for opening and closing the mouth and the eyes, by modification of the doll's features, combining these positions with the uttering of a crying sound, which ceases when the mouth closes and the eyes open. The mechanism's cycles of movement are produced by the action, on the electrical supply circuits, of a switch which functions by induction of a magnet, which forms part of a dummy (pacifier) or feeding bottle. It comprises a set of reducing gears which act on cams for sequentially producing a series of timed contacts which actuate the motor and give rise to the displacement of two mechanical sets of levers. One of them is in inner contact with the lips of the mouth, opening it and closing it. The other is also formed by two other levers in the form of pincers, which act on the upper and lower eyelids, closing or opening the eyes. These movements are carried out alternately, i.e. when the mouth is closed the eyes open and when the eyes are close the mouth opens.
