Abstract

A chair acting as a so-called counter-swinger is constructed from two pairs of scissor arms (10, 12) upwardly curved spring elements (24) being provided between the cross struts (16, 22) forming the seat surface, and spring elements (26) curved towards the back being provided between the cross struts (18, 20) at the foot end of the one pair of scissor arms (10) and at the upper end of the other pair of scissor arms (12).
