CONSISTE EN LA DECANTACION DE FRITAS MOLIDAS, EN SUCESIVAS CAPAS HASTA OBTENER UN VOLUMEN DETERMINADO. EN LA DECANTACION PUEDEN EMPLEARSE TAMBIEN ARCILLAS BLANCAS O COLOREADAS, EN CAPAS INTERMEDIAS, CON LA CONDICION DE QUE SU PUNTO DE FUSION SEA IGUAL AL DE LAS FRITAS. LA DECANTACION SE REALIZA POR TIEMPOS, CON REPOSO INTERMEDIO PARA DAR TIEMPO AL POSADO DE LOS MATERIALES. EN EL CASO DEL EMPLEO DE FRITAS EXCLUSIVAMENTE, CABE INCLUIR EN EL BAÑO DE DECANTACION UN AGLOMERANTE. EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO ES UN BLOQUE TERROSO DEL QUE SE CORTAN LAJAS, DE ESPESOR VARIABLE, EN EL SENTIDO TRANSVERSAL DEL BLOQUE, BIEN PARA INCORPORACION O UN SOPORTE DE BIZCOCHO CERAMICO O DE GRES O SIN SOPORTE PARA DECORACION, QUE ES SOMETIDA A COCCION PARA SU CRISTALIZACION.
