Abstract

The present invention relates to a supplementary service system connected to a ship. The system is characterised by a floating portion comprising a platform element 2 intended to be at least approximately horizontal in the active position and connected to the ship 1, in an articulated manner, by means of a connecting-rod device 3, the platform element 2 comprising a portion forming a bell 7 which is extended downwards by its wall 7a in order to constitute a bell which ensures the buoyancy of the said element by means of trapped air. The present invention finds application in the maritime field.
