Abstract

The protection device consists of an electrically insulating main support which has a protuberance, a fixed contact, a moving contact element and a bimetallic spring which is connected to the moving contact element. In order to improve the installation of the fixed contacts and the alignment of the bimetallic spring and of the moving contact element, inwardly directed depressions are in each case constructed on the bimetallic spring, which is connected to the moving contact element, on both sides, related to the protuberance on which the bimetallic spring is arranged, and the moving contact element is welded at predetermined points to the head of the corresponding connecting piece.
