Abstract

The device automatically delivers fluid to microtitration plates. There is a horizontal plate (2) which extends towards the middle and top of a frame (1) over which a sliding plate (3) can move, forwards and backwards. This slide plate can receive and anchor a micro-titration plate (4). Above the horizontal plate a longitudinal rim extends perpendicular to the direction the sliding plate moves. On the front free end of the arm are openings (17) with a fluid supply nozzle, the precise amount of liq. fed to the depression (37) in the titration plate is governed by a peristaltic pump on a plate over the arm. The perpendicular movement between slide plate and arm makes possible the pausing of the nozzle over each depression in the plate. The side plate actuators as well as those of the arm and pump operation are controlled by a microprocessor (28) and program. Liqs. and their amounts are established for supply to each recess.
