Abstract
Prodn. of human endothelial cell growth factor (ECGF) is effected by (a) providing a replicable expression vector capable of expressing the DNA sequence encoding human ECGF in a suitable host, (b) transforming the host to obtain a recombinant host, and (c) maintaining the recombinant host under conditions permitting expression of the ECGF-encoding cDNA sequence to produce ECGF. - Also claimed are (i) a replicable expression vector capable of expressing ECGF in a self-replicating recombinant system, (ii) a self-replicating recombinant system transformed with such a vector, (iii) human ECGF essentially free of other proteins of human origin, (iv) a cDNA clone comprising the complete coding sequence for human ECGF, and (v) a compsn. comprising human ECGF in an amt. effective to promote wound healing, mixed with a carrier.
Biosynthetically produced human nerve growth factor, process for producing it, compositions containing it, DNA sequence encoding it, vectors containing the sequence and host cells transformed thereby.
A xenogeneic expression control system, a method of using it, expression vectors containing it, cells transformed thereby and heterologous proteins produced therefrom.
