Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the anti-cut performance of a side wall by embedding a protection rubber layer harder than a side rubber and adjacent thereto at the outside of maximum tire width in a radial direction and within an outer rubber layer. CONSTITUTION:At an intermediate region 15 as one of three equal divisions of radial direction length L12-L13 from a maximum tire width position 13 to a tread end position 12 at an outside in a radial direction, a protection rubber layer 11 is embedded inside an outer rubber layer 10. And the protection rubber layer 11 is made of rubber harder than a side rubber 8. Also, the thickness D11 of the protection rubber layer 11 is set to 20%-70% of distance D16 from outer tire surface 1a to carcass 3 on a perpendicular 16 drawn from the thickness center 11c on a radial direction center position 11b to the carcass 3. According to the aforesaid constitution, the anti-cut performance of a side wall can be improved.
