Abstract
The invention refers to a procedure for preparing self-reticulating cationic enamel bonding agents, which can be diluted in water after protonisation, based on reagent products with urea, modified phenol and epoxide resin groups. The procedure is characterised by the fact that it produces a reaction between an amino alkylisation product, with a secondary amino group as the average, a phenol, with a half-blocked diisocyanate or substituted urea, prepared from a half-blocked diisocyanate and an amine, which also produces a reaction with formaldehyde and a phenol, with an epoxide compound. The enamels formulated with these products at stoving temperatures of between 150 degrees C and 170 degrees C result in films with excellent resistance to corrosion and excellent adhesion.
