A cartridge arrangement for a lipstick case or the like having two relatively rotatable parts and including a drive mechanism for moving the lipstick relative to an application end, said cartridge having a drive member in a opposite base end, and a receptacle-shaped housing member having an opening that receives the base end of said cartridge removably, said receptacle-shaped receiving member including an internal flange member directed radially toward in axially located near the closed end of said housing member, and said base end having a keyed application with said flange member when received therein, so that the rotation of said housing member with respect to an uncovered part of the other rotating part of said cartridge can effect the propulsion of the lipstick, and some retaining god of blocking by elastic jump acting in two directions, carried by said base end in its keyed part and having a fastener application with said flange member, just before the total insertion of said base end in said receptacle member in the form of a receptacle, whereby said cartridge can be detachably inserted in said accommodating member but, nevertheless, is normally retained against accidental disengagement therefrom.
