Un dispositivo para controlar el motor principal de un aparato electrodoméstico que incluye un motor de inducción monofásico del tipo capacitivo, que incluye una primera sección de bobinado de velocidad reducida y una segunda sección de bobinado de gran velocidad, caracterizado porque incluye un solo condensador del motor capaz de ser conmutado por un dispositivo de elementos de contacto y de discos de leva de programación en dicha sección de velocidad reducida y en dicha sección de velocidad alta, aplicándose la conexión del suministro de energía eléctrica a dicha sección de velocidad reducida en uno cualquiera de los terminales de dicho condensador del motor según las operaciones de conmutación realizadas por una unidad de conmutación según las anteriores reivindicaciones, caracterizado porque el primer disco de leva de control, produce la conmutación para la inversión de la dirección de giro de dicho motor y porque un segundo disco de leva provisto de un movimiento hacia adelante paso apaso, funciona en cooperación con dicho dispositivo de elementos de contacto y de discos de programación provistos de levas en dichas secciones de velocidad reducida y en dicha sección de velocidad elevada, de modo que dicho motor será conmutado a dicha sección de gran velocidad para utilizar en una única dirección el mismo condensador del motor.
