Un comodín para imprenta, que en su esencialidad se caracteriza por que las cajas que el mismo comprende quedan sustentadas y al propio tiempo guiadas lateralmente por elementos metálicos que al efecto, podrán ser hierros de sección angular, hierros T, hierros U o de otro perfil adecuado y también placas de fundición de cualquier metal o aleación, provistas de nervios o salientes que constituyen los elementos de sustentación de las cajas en tanto que las propias placas constituyen su elemento de guía lateral, independientemente de las características constructivas del comodín que al efecto podrá ser totalmente de madera, metálico o de construcción mixta.
