Segmento de estanqueidad perfeccionado, que esencialmente se caracteriza por el hecho de estar provisto de unas ranuras u oquedades, de la forma adecuada y en el número conveniente, ejecutadas en su periferia y/o en sus caras, las cuales se rellenan luego con un depósito de material resistente al desgaste, tal como cromo, molibdeno, bronce, carburo de tungsteno, aluminio, etc., pudiendo aplicarse varios materiales de relleno sobre un mismo segmento, según las necesidades, y llevándose a cabo la aportación del material de que se trate por deposición electrolítica, proyección incandescente, o rulinado de incrustación, según interese.
