Abstract

The invention relates to a system for producing electric power using gravity, said system including a rotary shaft (1) connected to a plurality of radial hydraulic cylinders (4) that are angularly equidistant from one another, such that the free end of each rod (5) bears a weight (6), said hydraulic cylinders (4) receiving pressure via radial hydraulic sleeves (3) which connect to a chamber (2) that is externally concentric to the rotary shaft (1). As the shaft (1) rotates, during the downward journey corresponding to one half-cycle, the weights (6) project outwards, while during the journey of the other half-cycle, the weights are retracted, with a larger lever arm being formed in the former case, thereby producing the continuous rotation of the shaft (1) using the force of gravity. During the radial weight (6)-extension and -retraction movements, both the weights and the rods (5) are guided through sleeves or jackets (7) which maintain the radial arrangement of said weights (6) and rods (5). The system further includes means for controlling the hydraulic circuit, comprising cams which detect the position of each weight (6) using a computer system.
