Abstract
Un interruptor eléctrico automático, de accionamiento termostático, caracterizado por el hecho de que las variaciones de temperatura a regular, o a mantener eléctricamente en una determinada aplicación, acusadas por la varilla de dilatación de termómetro o pirómetro metálico, sean recogidas y ampliadas por un sistema de palancas, reglable, elásticamente adherido por un resorte a la punta de dicha varilla, capaz para provocar un cambio en la inclinación de un tubo o ampolla cerrado al fuego en el que se sitúan los dos polos del interruptor y en el que actúa de puente eléctrico una masa de mercurio; con lo que, según la posición o inclinación de la ampolla, el mercurio al bañar o no a ambos bornes, cerrará o abrirá el circuito.
