Abstract

Device for the introduction of catheters into the blood vessel of a patient, comprising an introduction sheath which has a distal extremity and a proximal extremity and which can be traversed by an expander, said proximal extremity being provided with a head having at least two tubular proximal branches, each of said branches (a) presenting a proximal access mouth, (b) communicating with the introduction sheath and (c) being provided with a haemostasia valve and wherein one of the tubular proximal branches is aligned with the introduction sheath, thereby enabling the access of the expander into the introduction sheath.
