Abstract

Self-lubricating plate for the fifth wheel of industrial vehicles, said plate being fabricated with plastic material comprised of polyethylene having a very high density and molecular weight, at least 4,500,000 and with a thickness equal to or smaller than 6 mm and which can be adapted perfectly to the surface of the fifth wheel owing to a fold which matches the ridge of the surface of the platform, the anchoring being effected by means of anchoring screws into orifices distributed throughout the plate, said srews having a flat head and the orifices being machined so as to form a recess or countersink to which is exerted the screw tightening pressure and wherein the planar head of said screws is concealed so as to avoid the protrusion of said screws.
