Abstract

La présente invention concerne le domaine des diagnostics. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne un procédé d'évaluation de congestion chez un sujet comprenant les étapes consistant à déterminer dans un échantillon du sujet la quantité d'un peptide de type BMP 10 (peptide de type protéine morphogénique osseuse 10) et à comparer la quantité du peptide de type BMP 10 à une référence pour le peptide de type BMP 10, une congestion devant alors être évaluée. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de différenciation entre l'hypertension pulmonaire précapillaire et l'hypertension pulmonaire post-capillaire. En outre, l'invention concerne des procédés mis en œuvre par ordinateur des procédés susmentionnés ainsi que des dispositifs et des kits pour mettre en œuvre lesdits procédés. L'invention concerne encore en général l'utilisation d'un peptide de type BMP 10 ou d'un agent de détection associé dans un échantillon d'un sujet pour évaluer la congestion ou l'utilisation d'un peptide de type BMP 10 ou d'un agent de détection associé dans un échantillon d'un sujet afin de différencier l'hypertension pulmonaire précapillaire et l'hypertension pulmonaire post-capillaire.
