Abstract

Un portail renforcé assure une protection améliorée contre les impacts balistiques et les explosions pour des pièces sécurisées, des abris anti-bombes et des applications de sécurité. Le portail comprend une structure externe formée à partir de deux plaques et quatre panneaux qui entourent un espace interne. Au moins un contenant rempli de liquide est positionné à l'intérieur de l'espace interne pour absorber une énergie d'impact. La structure externe modulaire comprend une première plaque fonctionnant en tant que côté avant, une seconde plaque en tant que côté arrière, et quatre panneaux servant de montants latéraux, de seuil et de montant de tête. De multiples contenants peuvent être agencés en couches pour réduire au minimum la perte de liquide lorsqu'ils sont perforés. La pression de liquide à l'intérieur de contenants dépasse la pression ambiante pour améliorer l'intégrité structurale. Un procédé d'assemblage consiste à fournir des contenants remplis de liquide et des composants structuraux séparés, à positionner les contenants à l'intérieur de la structure, et à fixer les composants ensemble. Cette approche modulaire garantit un transport et une installation plus faciles par rapport à des portails renforcés classiques tout en maintenant des performances de protection supérieures.
