Description

ADJUSTABLE CARGO LOAD SECURING MECHANISM
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to horizontal load securing bars that ensure that loads of the same size is not damaged while driving in trailers, which are road vehicles intended for cargo transportation.
In particular, the present invention relates to the cargo load securing mechanism that enables the securing of loads of different sizes placed in the trailer.
State of the Art
Today trailers are non-motorised vehicles that are towed by a motorised vehicle and have at least one axle designed and manufactured according to the characteristics of the load it will carry and connected to the vehicle it is towed by means of a fastener such as towing arrow, turntable, hook, kingpin etc. Trailers are vehicles that travel in difficult conditions and on sloping roads due to the loads they carry and are pulled by a motor vehicle.
Horizontal or vertical bars are used to prevent the load from being dispersed while transporting loads or containers in the trailer. Horizontal bars are installed on the load securing rails on the side walls of the vehicle, while vertical bars are installed by being sandwiched between the ceiling and the floor.
In the state of the art, loads placed in trailers of the same size can be fixed stably with horizontal bars. However, when the dimensions of some of the loads change, the contact of these loads with the horizontal bars disappears. This cannot ensure that loads of different sizes can be fixed in the trailer.
Since loads of different sizes cannot be secured with horizontal bars in the known state of the art, small loads move and get damaged during transportation.
In the state of the art, excessive noise occurs due to small loads hitting each other during transportation.
In the state of the art, lifting overturned loads requires extra labour.
In the state of the art, extra time is spent to rearrange small loads after they fall over.
As a result of the researches made in the literature, various structure are encountered regarding trailer load securing systems. One of these is the patent titled “A Modular Connection Console Used in Trailers” with application number TR2018/09307. In the summary of the invention with classification class B60J 5/06, "‘The invention relates to a modular connection console used in load transport in large vehicles such as tractors and trucks, which provides easier fixation of large materials loaded on the trailer, in its most basic form, a load connection ring to which the load tensioning rope is connected during the fixation of the loaded material, a modular connection console including a load connection ring housing in which the load connection ring provides movement. The invention is characterised in that it comprises at least one connection shoe which fits into the holes on the web, wraps the web sheet and enables the system to be fixed; a bearing shaft located in the said connection console, which enables the movement of the said connection shoe; a movement pin located in the continuation of the said bearing shaft and protruding from the side of the said connection console, which enables the movement of the bearing shaft; at least one spring located on the said bearing shaft, which controls the movement of the bearing shaft during connection and enables it to return to its original position. (Figure 1 )’ statement is included.
In the above-mentioned application, apparatus for securing loads was developed. However, this apparatus has problems in securing loads of different sizes. Therefore, this application can be referred as an example to some disadvantages mentioned above.
As a result, parallel to the developing technology in the cargo securing mechanism, developments are made, therefore new configurations are required in order to eliminate abovementioned disadvantages and bring solution to current systems.
Object of the Invention
The invention is related to cargo securing mechanism which is different from the structures used in the state of the art, is developed to solve said disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.
The object of the present invention is to ensure that the smaller loads placed in the trailer are secured with the cargo holding mechanism. In this way, small loads will be prevented from tipping over and being damaged during movement.
Another object of the present invention is to prevent small loads from moving and hitting each other and making noise.
Another object of the present invention is to prevent small loads from tipping over, thus saving the time spent in arranging the loads that tipped over in the prior art.
Another object of the present invention is that it can be used not only on horizontal bars but also on different bars and apparatus, as it does not require a fixed mounting apparatus and can be adapted to any type of structure. In this way, it can be used not only in the trailer industry but also in warehouses to fix structures with distance between loads by attaching them to simple apparatus.
The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings. Therefore, the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration. Brief Description of the Figures Clarifying the Invention

Detailed Description of an Embodiment of the Invention
In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the inventive cargo securing mechanism (5) is described only for clarifying the subject matter in a manner such that no limiting effect is created.
Structure principle:
Said cargo securing mechanism (5) comprises adjustment mechanism (10), box profile (20) structure.
Said adjustment mechanism (10) is the structure where the load force adjustment is made. Mechanism body (11) comprises motion transmission lever (12), mechanism lever (13), profile lock plate (14), lever lock handle (15), securing pin (16), securing bush (17) and miniature carriage with bearings (18). Figure 1 shows disassembled version of the adjustment mechanism (10).
The mechanism body (11) is element that absorbs all the load coming to the structure. The box profile (20) is installed by passing the same through the mechanism body (11). At the top of the mechanism body (11 ), there is a miniature carriage with bearing (18) that ensures the regular operation of the lever lock handle (15). In the middle part of the mechanism body (11), there is a profile gap (19) through which the box profile (20) will be passed.
The motion transmission lever (12) to be placed on the mechanism body (11 ) is the element that works together with the mechanism lever (13) and acts as a joint for the mechanism lever (13). The mechanism lever (13) is the lever placed on the motion transmission lever (12) where the force adjustment of the adjustment mechanism (10) is made. The lever lock handle (15) is located in the middle part of the motion transmission lever (12). The lever lock handle (15) passes into the gap in the middle part of the mechanism lever (13). In this way, it ensures that the mechanism lever is locked.
A profile lock sheet (14) is used, which is connected to the front of the motion transmission lever (12) and into which the box profile (20) will be inserted. The profile lock sheet (14) prevents the box profile (20) from slipping back under load. The box profile (20) seen in Figure 4 is the element that provides the connection between the half load (3) and the adjustment mechanism (10). The box profile (20) configuration comprises securing pin (16), foot securing pipe (21), flexibility element (22) and presser foot (23).
Said presser foot (23) is the element that will withstand the side load. It is fixed to the box profile (20) with the foot securing pipe (21). There is a flexibility element (22) inside the foot securing pipe (21). The flexibility element (22) is used to dampen the flexing during the movement of the trailer (1). A spring is used as the flexibility element (22).
Assembly principle:
In disassembled structure shown in Figure 2, the motion transmission lever (12) is placed on the miniature carriage with bearing (18) located on the mechanism body (11). Securing is done with the help of the securing pin (16). The mechanism lever (12) is placed on the motion transmission lever (13). During placement, the lever lock handle (15) is inserted into the mechanism lever (13) and fixed together from the front with the help of the securing bush (17). The profile lock sheet (14) is fixed to the front part of the mechanism arm (13) with the help of the securing pin (16). With this, the adjustment mechanism (10) becomes installed as shown in Figure 3.
This structure is fixed to the hole drilled in the horizontal load stabilizing bar (4) shown in Figure 1. Afterwards, the box profile (20) is passed through the profile gap (19) and the profile lock sheet (14) in the mechanism body (11 ). The foot securing pipe (21) is fixed to the part of the box profile (20) that will be supported on the half load (3) with the help of the securing pin (16). Flexibility element (22) is placed inside the foot securing pipe (21). The foot securing pipe (21 ) is fixed to the presser foot (23) on the other hand. With this process, the assembly of the cargo securing mechanism (5) is completed.
Operating principle:
Large horizontal loads (2) are fixed in the trailer (1) with the help of the horizontal load securing bar (4). In order to fix the half load (3) placed next to the horizontal loads (2), the installed cargo securing mechanism (5) is placed on the horizontal load securing bar (4) as shown in Figure 1 . The lever lock handle (15) is pulled back, and the mechanism lever (13) is lifted up. Afterwards, the distance between the load and the presser foot (23) is adjusted. If it is desired to put more pressure on the load, the desired amount of pressure on the load is adjusted by using the mechanism lever (13) like a jack by up and down movements. After all adjustments have been made, the mechanism lever (13) is moved to the horizontal position and locked with the lever lock handle (15).
The design of the cargo securing mechanism (5) can be used for all types of cargo transport. In particular, since it does not require a fixed mounting bracket and can be adapted to any type of structure, it can be used not only on horizontal load securing bars (4) but also on different bars and apparatus. It can be used not only in the trailer (1) industry but also in warehouses to fix structures with distance between loads by attaching them to simple apparatus.
