Description

Konverter für die Ammoniaksynthese
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Konverter für die Ammoniaksynthese.
Die Ammoniaksynthese wird prinzipiell seit etwa einem Jahrhundert nach dem Haber- Bosch-Verfahren durchgeführt. Hierbei werden bei hohem Druck und hoher Temperatur Stickstoff und Wasserstoff an einem Katalysator zu Ammoniak umgesetzt. Da es sich um eine Gleichgewichtsreaktion handelt, verschiebt der hohe Druck das Gleichgewicht zum Produkt Ammoniak hin. Da die Reaktion aber exotherm ist, verschiebt eine hohe Temperatur das Gleichgewicht zu den Edukten Wasserstoff und Stickstoff. Es wird jedoch eine hohe Temperatur benötigt, um eine ausreichende Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit zu haben. Durch die bei der Reaktion entstehende Wärme heizt sich das Reaktionsgemisch jedoch weiter auf. Daher wird die Ammoniaksynthese oftmals in zwei oder mehr Stufen durchgeführt, wobei zwischen den Stufen die entstehende Wärme über einen Wärmetauscher abgeführt wird. Dadurch wird die für die Kinetik notwendige Temperatur gehalten, eine zu hohe Temperatur und damit die Verschiebung des Gleichgewichts zu den Edukten jedoch vermieden.
Heutige Reaktoren zur Ammoniaksynthese, auch Konverter genannt, sind derart aufgebaut, dass diese einen drucktragenden Behälter aufweisen. In dem drucktragenden Behälter, auch Konvertergehäuse genannt, befindet sich eine sogenannte Cartridge, in welcher der Katalysator angeordnet ist. Somit findet die genannte Reaktion in der Cartridge statt. Die Cartridge kann insbesondere wärmeisoliert sein. Weiterhin kann in einer Cartridge auch ein Wärmetauscher angeordnet sein. Innerhalb eines Konvertergehäuses können auch zwei oder mehr Cartridges angeordnet sein. Weist der Konverter zwei Cartridges auf, so ist beispielsweise eine erste Cartridge in einem ersten Bereich und eine zweite Cartridge in einem zweiten Bereich angeordnet, wobei der erste Bereich meist oberhalb des zweiten Bereichs angeordnet ist. Hierbei weist die erste Cartridge im ersten Bereich üblicherweise einen Wärmetauscher auf, um die bei der Reaktion des Gasgemischs im Katalysator der ersten Cartridge entstandene Reaktionswärme abzuführen. In dem oberen ersten Bereich ist mittig in Längsrichtung, sich über die Länge des ersten Bereichs erstreckend, ein Wärmetauscher angeordnet, in dem das aus den Katalysatorbetten ausströmende Gasgemisch das in die Katalysatorbetten eintretende Gasgemisch erwärmt. Somit wird die bei der Reaktion entstehende Wärme genutzt, um neues Gasgemisch auf die Reaktionstemperatur zu bringen. Am Ende des Wärmetauschers des ersten Bereichs wird das Eduktgasgemisch in Richtung des Einlasses des ersten Bereichs verbracht, während das Produktgasgemisch am Ende des Wärmetauschers des ersten Bereichs zum Eingang des zweiten Bereichs geführt wird. Innerhalb eines Bereichs wird das Eduktgasgemisch an der Außenseite geführt und somit an der Außenseite des Konverters über die Länge des ersten Bereichs verteilt. Von dort gelangt das Eduktgas durch einen radial angeordneten ringförmigen Katalysator zum ersten Wärmetauscher, welcher in der Mitte im Innern des Katalysators der ersten Cartridge angeordnet ist. Im ersten Wärmetauscher gibt das teilumgesetzte Halbproduktgasgemisch die durch die Reaktion im Katalysator der ersten Cartridge entstandene Wärme an das kühlere Eduktgasgemisch ab und wärmt das Eduktgasgemisch vor. Das Halbproduktgasgemisch wird am Ende des ersten Bereichs radial nach außen geführt und an der Außenseite des Konverters über die Länge des zweiten Bereichs verteilt. Von dort wird das Produktgasgemisch durch einen radial verlaufenden Katalysator der zweiten Cartridge geführt. Um eine zu schnelle Strömung an dem ersten Bereich entgegengesetzten Ende des zweiten Bereichs zu vermeiden, ist im Inneren des Hohlzylinders beispielswiese ein sich axial erstreckendes Rohr angeordnet. Dieses Rohr reicht - von der Innenseite des Katalysators durch einen Ringspalt beabstandet - bis fast an das dem ersten Bereich zugewandte Ende des zweiten Bereichs heran und geht an dem dem ersten Bereich entgegengesetzten Ende des zweiten Bereichs in einen Auslass über. Dabei führt es die aus der Innenseite des Katalysators der zweiten Cartridge austretende Produktgasströmung über den Ringspalt an der Außenseite dieses Rohres wieder an das dem ersten Bereich angrenzende Ende des zweiten Bereichs, wo es in den Innenraum des Rohres eintritt und dann durch das Rohr aus dem Reaktor hinausgeleitet wird. Es ergibt sich somit im Mittel eine Z-förmige Strömung im zweiten Bereich (wobei die Strömung an den Mantelflächen entlang und durch den Katalysator hindurch eine U-Form aufweist). Alternativ kann das Halbproduktgasgemisch beispielsweise durch geeignete Lochplatten geführt werden, sodass die Durchströmung des Katalysatorbetts im zweiten Bereich über die Länge möglichst homogen erfolgt und so Bereiche mit zu hohen Gasgeschwindigkeiten (und damit zu geringen Umsatzzeiten) vermeiden werden. Es besteht der Wunsch, möglichst viel Katalysator in einen vorhandenen Konverter- und Cartridgeraum einzubringen, um so eine optimale Umsetzung zu erhalten. Gleichzeitig sollte aber auch möglichst gewährleistet sein, dass die Verweilzeit am Katalysator möglichst homogen verteilt ist, dass also insbesondere keine Bereiche besonders schneller Durchströmung auftreten.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, einen Konverter mit einer möglichst hohen Katalysatorbeladung bereit zu stellen.
Gelöst wird diese Aufgabe durch den Konverter mit den in Anspruch 1 angegebenen Merkmalen. Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen, der nachfolgenden Beschreibung sowie der Zeichnung.
Der erfindungsgemäße Konverter dient zur Synthese von Ammoniak aus Stickstoff und Wasserstoff. Der Konverter weist ein Konvertergehäuse auf. Das Konvertergehäuse weist einen Einlass für das Eduktgasgemisch auf. Über diesen wird Wasserstoff und Stickstoff üblicherweise im Verhältnis 3:1 zugeführt. Das Konvertergehäuse weist weiterhin einen Auslass für das Produktgasgemisch auf. Hier wird das Gemisch aus Stickstoff, Wasserstoff und Ammoniak abgeführt. Der Konverter weist einen ersten Bereich und einen zweiten Bereich im Inneren des Konvertergehäuses auf. Im ersten Bereich ist ein erstes Katalysatorbett angeordnet und im zweiten Bereich ist ein zweites Katalysatorbett angeordnet, wobei insbesondere das Ende des ersten Katalysatorbetts, das dem zweiten Katalysatorbett zugewandt ist, oder ein Boden an diesem Ende des ersten Katalysatorbetts ein Ende des ersten Bereichs darstellen kann, und wobei insbesondere das Ende des zweiten Katalysatorbetts, das dem ersten Katalysatorbett zugewandt ist, oder ein Boden an diesem Ende des zweiten Katalysatorbetts ein Ende des zweiten Bereichs darstellen kann. Das erste Katalysatorbett und das zweite Katalysatorbett sind jeweils radial in Form eines Hohlzylinders ausgeführt und so angeordnet, dass diese von außen nach innen durchströmt werden können (ein geringer Anteil des jeweiligen Edukts kann gegebenenfalls auch über die ringförmigen Deckflächen der Hohlzylinder in die Katalysatorbetten einströmen, sofern diese Deckflächen nicht von einem abdichtenden Boden bedeckt sind). Zwischen dem Konvertergehäuse und dem ersten Katalysatorbett ist eine Eduktgasgemischverteilung angeordnet, und zwischen dem Konvertergehäuse und dem zweiten Katalysatorbett ist eine Halbproduktgasgemischverteilung angeordnet. Die Eduktgasgemischverteilung und die Halbproduktgasgemischverteilung können einfach als radial die Katalysatorbetten umgebende Spalte (insbesondere Ringspalte) zwischen dem Konvertergehäuse und den Katalysatorbetten ausgeführt sein. Im Inneren des ersten Katalysatorbetts, genauer im Inneren, welches nicht mit Katalysator gefüllt ist (Kem des Hohlzylinders), ist ein Wärmetauscher angeordnet. Alternativ könnte man auch sagen, dass der Wärmetauscher im vom ersten Katalysatorbett umgebenen Innenbereich angeordnet ist. Der Wärmetauscher weist eine erste Seite (erster Wärmetauscherraum) für das Eduktgasgemisch auf und eine zweite Seite (zweiter Wärmetauscherraum) für das Halbproduktgasgemisch. Entsprechend ist die erste Seite des Wärmetauschers an ihrem Anfang mit dem Einlass verbunden. Somit gelangt das dem Konverter frisch zugeführte Gemisch aus Stickstoff und Wasserstoff zuerst direkt in den Wärmetauscher. Hierbei wird Wärme von der zweiten Seite des Wärmetauschers auf die in der ersten Seite des Wärmetauschers befindlichen Edukte übertragen. Die erste Seite des Wärmetauschers ist am Ende mit einer ersten Umlenkvorrichtung verbunden und die erste Umlenkvorrichtung verbindet das Ende der ersten Seite des Wärmetauschers mit der Eduktgasgemischverteilung. Die zweite Seite des Wärmetauschers ist derart angeordnet, dass die zweite Seite des Wärmetauschers von dem aus dem ersten Katalysator austretenden Halbproduktgasgemisch durchströmt wird. Hierdurch kann die durch die chemische Reaktion freigesetzte Wärme auf die einströmenden Edukte übertragen werden und diese erwärmen (vorwärmen). Gleichzeitig wird das Halbproduktgasgemisch für die zweite Reaktionsstufe im zweiten Bereich wieder abgekühlt und so das Gleichgewicht zum Produkt Ammoniak hin verschoben, wobei jedoch eine ausreichend hohe Temperatur für eine gute Kinetik gehalten wird. Die zweite Seite des Wärmetauschers ist mit einer zweiten Umlenkvorrichtung verbunden, und die zweite Umlenkvorrichtung verbindet die zweite Seite des Wärmetauschers mit der Halbproduktgasgemischverteilung.
Erfindungsgemäß weist der Wärmetauscher eine Primärleitung auf. Die Primärleitung verläuft mittig vom Einlass bis zu dem dem zweiten Bereich benachbarten Ende des ersten Bereichs (die Primärleitung endet also insbesondere im ersten Bereich an einem Endpunkt des ersten Bereichs, also unmittelbar an dessen äußerer Grenze, oder in einem Endbereich des ersten Bereichs, welcher sich innerhalb des ersten Bereichs in der Nähe der äußeren Grenze des ersten Bereichs erstreckt). An dem zweiten Bereich benachbarten Ende der Primärleitung ist ein Verteilerkopf angeordnet. Weiterhin weist der Wärmetauscher eine Vielzahl an Sekundärleitungen auf. Die Sekundärleitungen sind mit dem Verteilerkopf und der ersten Umlenkvorrichtung verbunden. Der Verteilerkopf dient insbesondere dazu, den Eduktgasstrom aus der einen Primärleitung umzulenken (in Gegenrichtung) und auf die Vielzahl der Sekundärleitungen aufzuteilen. Die Sekundärleitungen verlaufen parallel zur Primärleitung und sind um die Primärleitung herum angeordnet. Dadurch sind die Sekundärleitungen in die zweite Seite des Wärmetauschers eingebettet und werden von diesem umgeben, so dass die Sekundärleitungen vom Halbproduktgasgemisch im Gegenstrom umströmt werden. Entsprechend weisen die Sekundärleitungen in Summe eine sehr viel größere Oberfläche auf und tragen somit sehr viel mehr zum Wärmeübertrag im Wärmetauscher bei als die Außenseite des Primärrohrs. Dies führt dazu, dass der Hauptteil des Wärmeübergangs im Wärmetauscher durch die Sekundärleitung erfolgt. Hierdurch wird die Gasführung im Inneren des ersten Katalysatorbetts vereinfacht. Gleichzeitig wird in einfacher und vor allem kompakter Bauweise ein Gegenstromwärmetäuscher erreicht. Der Verteilerkopf ragt in den zweiten Bereich hinein; dies kann insbesondere bedeuten, dass der Verteilerkopf dort in das zweite Katalysatorbett hineinragen kann. Durch die in den zweiten Bereich hineinragende Anordnung des als Verbindung von Primärleitung und Sekundärleitungen vorgesehenen Verteilerkopfes wird ein unnötig großer Zwischenraum zwischen dem ersten Bereich und dem zweiten Bereich zur Aufnahme des Verteilerkopfes vermieden und somit kann mehr Katalysator in dem Konverter angeordnet werden, was wiederum einen höheren Durchsatz ermöglicht. Hierbei kann insbesondere der zweite Bereich (insbesondere das zweite Katalysatorbett im zweiten Bereich) eine Ausnehmung (Vertiefung) zur Aufnahme des Verteilerkopfs aufweisen, indem an dem Ende des Katalysatorbett-Hohlzylinders, welcher dem ersten Bereich zugewandt ist, ein endseitiger Teil der inneren Mantelfläche des Hohlzylinders ausgespart ist, sodass der Verteilerkopf zumindest teilweise vom Katalysatorbett umgeben ist. Bei dieser Ausgestaltung wird der Verteilerkopf des Wärmetauschers also durch die Ausnehmung in die Ausdehnung des zweiten Katalysatorbetts eingebracht, so dass der Freiraum zwischen dem ersten Katalysatorbett und dem zweiten Katalysatorbett verkleinert werden kann und so eine besonders kompakte Bauform erreicht wird, ohne dass durch die endseitige Verringerung des Volumens des Katalysatorbettes der Umsatz signifikant beeinträchtigt wird, da gerade an dieser Stelle das Katalysatormaterial im Katalysatorbett strömungstechnisch ineffektiver angeordnet ist und somit weniger zum Gesamtumsatz beiträgt, so dass grade an dieser Stelle eine Ausnehmung mit geringen Umsatzeinbußen verbunden ist.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung weist der zweite Bereich (insbesondere das zweite Katalysatorbett im zweiten Bereich) dort eine kegelförmige Ausnehmung zur Aufnahme des Verteilerkopfs auf, beispielsweise eine sich verjüngende Ausnehmung, deren Form von der Form eines Kegels abgeleitet ist und deren breitester Bereich an dem Ende des Katalysatorbetts angeordnet ist, der dem ersten Bereich zugewandt ist. Insbesondere kann die kegelförmige Ausnehmung auch die Form eines Kegelstumpfes haben, wobei insbesondere die Deckfläche des Kegelstumpfes dem katalysatorfreien Innenbereich des zweiten Bereichs entspricht. Weiterhin kann der Kegelstumpf zusätzlich am breiten Ende einen zylinderförmigen Fortsatz aufweisen. Durch diese kegelförmige Ausnehmung ist es zum einen gut möglich, diesen zu fertigen, und auf der anderen Seite kann der Verteilerkopf so sehr gut platzsparend aufgenommen werden.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung weist der erste Bereich einen ersten Boden auf. Der zweite Bereich weist einen zweiten Boden auf. Zwischen dem ersten Boden und dem zweiten Boden ist die zweite Umlenkvorrichtung angeordnet. Zwischen dem ersten Boden und dem zweiten Boden ist ferner ein Abstandselement angeordnet. Das Abstandselement dient dazu, ein zu starkes Durchbiegen zu verhindern oder zumindest zu verringern, insbesondere des zweiten Bodens. Dies ist insbesondere durch die unterschiedlichen Ausdehnungskoeffizienten zwischen Katalysator und dem Material der Struktur möglich. Das Abstandselement kann beispielsweise als Schraubelement ausgeführt sein, um beim Einbau die Länge des Abstands in einfacher Weise anpassen zu können.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung weist der Verteilerkopf die Form eines Kugelsegments auf. In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung weist das zweite Katalysatorbett eine Gasflussverteilvorrichtung in Form einer die Oberfläche verschließenden Schicht mit Öffnungen (durchgängige Ausnehmungen, Perforation) auf. Die Öffnungen der Gasflussverteilvorrichtung weisen unterschiedliche Größen auf, wobei die Größe der Öffnungen der Gasflussverteilvorrichtung in Abhängigkeit von der Entfernung zum ersten Bereich gewählt ist. Die Öffnungen sind angrenzend zum ersten Bereich am größten und werden mit zunehmender Entfernung zum ersten Bereich kleiner. Hierdurch kann insbesondere bei einer Anordnung der Gasflussverteilvorrichtung im Innenraum des Katalysatorbett-Hohlzylinders eine über die Höhe des Katalysatorbett-Hohlzylinders vergleichmäßigte radiale Geschwindigkeit erreichen, es wird also der Fluss des Halbproduktgasgemisches gezielt vergleichmäßigt, sodass der aus dem zweiten Katalysatorbett austretende Produktgasstrom direkt zum Auslass geführt wird. Daher kann auf ein axial angeordnetes Rohr im Inneren des zweiten Katalysatorbetts verzichtet werden, wodurch der Innenbereich, der nicht mit Katalysator gefüllt ist, kleiner ausfallen kann, sodass mehr Katalysator in den Konverter eingebracht werden kann.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist die Größe der Öffnungen der Gasflussverteilvorrichtung linear mit dem Abstand zum ersten Bereich geändert.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist die Gasflussverteilvorrichtung auf der Innenseite des zweiten Katalysatorbetts angeordnet (also an der inneren Mantelfläche des Hohlzylinders). Alternativ ist in einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung die Gasflussverteilvorrichtung auf der Außenseite des zweiten Katalysatorbetts angeordnet (also an der äußeren Mantelfläche des Hohlzylinders). Die Ausführungsform auf der Außenseite ist bevorzugt, da hierdurch die Strömung schon vor dem zweiten Katalysatorbett vergleichmäßigt ist.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung weist der Wärmetauscher eine Primärleitung auf. Die Primärleitung verläuft mittig von Einlass bis zu dem zweiten Bereich benachbarten Ende des ersten Bereichs. Am dem zweiten Bereich benachbarten Ende der Primärleitung ist ein Verteilerkopf angeordnet. Weiter weist der Wärmetauscher eine Mehrzahl an Sekundärleitungen auf. Die Sekundärleitungen sind mit dem Verteilerkopf und der ersten Umlenkeinrichtung verbunden. Die Sekundärleitungen verlaufen parallel zur Primärleitung und sind um die Primärleitung herum angeordnet. Entsprechend weisen die Sekundärleitungen in Summe eine sehr viel größere Oberfläche auf und tragen somit sehr viel mehr zum Wärmeübertrag im Wärmetauscher bei. Hierdurch wird die Gasführung im Inneren des ersten Katalysatorbetts vereinfacht. Gleichzeitig wird in einfacher und vor allem kompakter Bauweise ein Gegenstromwärmetäuscher erreicht.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der Erfindung weist der Wärmetauscher auf der zweiten Seite Leitbleche für das Halbproduktgasgemisch auf. Hierdurch kann die Führung des Halbproduktgasgemischs für den Wärmeübertrag optimiert werden, was wiederum eine kompaktere Bauweise und damit mehr Katalysator ermöglicht.
Nachfolgend ist der erfindungsgemäße Konverter anhand eines in der Zeichnung dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiels näher erläutert.

In Fig. 1 ist ein erfindungsgemäßer Konverter 10 gezeigt. Die Pfeile zeigen jeweils die ungefähre Strömungsrichtung des Gasgemisches an. Der Konverter 10 weist ein Konvertergehäuse 12 auf, welches alles umschließt und entsprechend den Betriebsbedingungen druckfest ausgeführt ist. Durch den Einlass 14 wird ein Eduktgasgemisch aus Stickstoff und Wasserstoff zugeführt und durch die Primärleitung 82 des Wärmetauschers 80 bis zum Verteilerkopf 84 des Wärmetauschers 80 geführt. Im Verteilerkopf 84 wird der Eduktgasstrom auf mehrere Sekundärleitungen 86 verteilt und umgelenkt. Insbesondere in den Sekundärleitungen 86 kann das Eduktgasgemisch Wärme von dem Halbproduktgasgemisch auf der zweiten Seite 88 des Wärmetauschers 80 aufnehmen. Das so erwärmte Eduktgasgemisch wird aus den Sekundärleitungen 86 über die erste Umlenkvorrichtung 90 in die Eduktgasgemischverteilung 60 geführt, die das erste Katalysatorbett 40 radial umgibt und diesem somit vollflächig über dessen Mantelfläche Eduktgasgemisch zuführt. Das Eduktgasgemisch reagiert im dem ersten Katalysatorbett 40 anteilig/zumindest teilweise zu Ammoniak und erwärmt sich durch die freiwerdende Reaktionswärme. Das so erzeugte Halbproduktgasgemisch gelangt aus dem ersten Katalysatorbett 40 in die zweite Seite 88 des Wärmetauschers 80, und umströmt dort die Sekundärleitungen 86, wobei es die erzeugte Wärme an das Eduktgasgemisch in den Sekundärleitungen 86 abgibt. Das so abgekühlte Halbproduktgasgemisch wird aus der zweiten Seite 88 des Wärmetauschers 80 durch die zweite Umlenkvomchtung 100 der Halbproduktgasgemischverteilung 70 zugeführt und damit aus dem ersten Bereich 20 in den zweiten Bereich 30 überführt. Die zweite Umlenkvomchtung 100 wird gegenüber dem ersten Bereich 20 durch den ersten Boden 101 und gegenüber dem zweiten Bereich 30 durch den zweiten Boden 102 begrenzt. Zusätzlich ist zwischen dem ersten Boden 101 und dem zweiten Boden 102 ein Abstandselement 103 angeordnet, insbesondere eine Vielzahl an Abstandselementen 103. Zwischen der Halbproduktgasgemischverteilung 70 und dem zweiten Katalysatorbett 50 ist auf der äußeren Oberfläche des zweiten Katalysatorbetts 50 die Gasflussverteilvorrichtung 110 angeordnet. Die Gasflussverteilvorrichtung 110 ist beispielsweise ein Blech mit Löchern, wobei die Löcher auf der dem ersten Bereich 20 zugewandten (dem ersten Bereich 20 nähergelegenen) Seite (in Fig. 1 auf der linken Seite) größer sind als auf der dem ersten Bereich 20 abgewandten Seite (in Fig. 1 auf der rechten Seite); stattdessen kann die Gasflussverteilvorrichtung auch an der inneren Oberfläche (inneren Mantelseite) des zweiten Katalysatorbetts 50 angeordnet sein. Das Halbproduktgasgemisch durchströmt dann in gleichmäßiger Weise über den gesamten zweiten Bereich 30 das zweite Katalysatorbett 50 und wird im Inneren des zweiten Katalysatorbetts 50 (genauer im Inneren, welches nicht mit Katalysator gefüllt ist, also dem Kern des Hohlzylinders) direkt und ohne Umlenkung, insbesondere ohne ein axial angeordnetes Rohr im Inneren des zweiten Katalysatorbetts, direkt zum Auslass 16 geführt. Hierbei ragt der Verteilerkopf 84 in eine entsprechende Ausnehmung des zweiten Bereichs 30, sodass der Abstand zwischen dem ersten Bereich 20 und dem zweiten Bereich 30 minimal wird und somit die Gesamtmenge an Katalysator innerhalb des Konvertergehäuses 12 weiter maximiert werden kann.

Konverter (10) zur Synthese von Ammoniak aus Stickstoff und Wasserstoff, wobei der Konverter (10) ein Konvertergehäuse (12) aufweist, wobei das Konvertergehäuse (12) einen Einlass (14) für das Eduktgasgemisch aufweist, wobei das Konvertergehäuse (12) einen Auslass (16) für das Produktgasgemisch aufweist, wobei der Konverter (10) einen ersten Bereich (20) und einen zweiten Bereich (30) im Inneren des Konvertergehäuses (12) aufweist, wobei im ersten Bereich (20) ein erstes Katalysatorbett (40) angeordnet ist, wobei im zweiten Bereich (30) ein zweites Katalysatorbett (50) angeordnet ist, wobei das erste Katalysatorbett (40) und das zweite Katalysatorbett (50) jeweils radial in Form eines Hohlzylinders ausgeführt sind und so angeordnet sind, dass diese von außen nach innen durchströmt werden, wobei zwischen dem Konvertergehäuse (12) und dem ersten Katalysatorbett (40) eine Eduktgasgemischverteilung (60) angeordnet ist, wobei zwischen dem Konvertergehäuse (12) und dem zweiten Katalysatorbett (50) eine Halbproduktgasgemischverteilung (70) angeordnet ist, wobei im Inneren des ersten Katalysatorbetts (40) ein Wärmetauscher (80) angeordnet ist, wobei der Wärmetauscher (80) eine erste Seite für das Eduktgasgemisch aufweist, wobei die erste Seite des Wärmetauschers (80) an ihrem Anfang mit dem Einlass (14) verbunden ist, wobei die erste Seite des Wärmetauschers (80) am Ende mit einer ersten Umlenkvorrichtung (90) verbunden ist, wobei die erste Umlenkvorrichtung (90) das Ende der ersten Seite des Wärmetauschers (80) mit der Eduktgasgemischverteilung (60) verbindet, wobei der Wärmetauscher (80) eine zweite Seite (88) aufweist, wobei die zweite Seite (88) derart angeordnet ist, dass die zweite Seite (88) von dem aus dem ersten Katalysator austretenden Halbproduktgasgemisch durchströmt wird, wobei die zweite Seite (88) mit einer zweiten Umlenkvorrichtung (100) verbunden ist, wobei die zweite Umlenkvorrichtung (100) die zweite Seite (88) mit der Halbproduktgasgemischverteilung (70) verbindet, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Wärmetauscher (80) eine Primärleitung (82) aufweist, wobei die Primärleitung (82) mittig vom Einlass (14) bis zu dem dem zweiten Bereich (30) benachbarten Ende des ersten Bereichs (20) verläuft, wobei an dem zweiten Bereich (30) benachbarten Ende der Primärleitung (82) ein Verteilerkopf (84) angeordnet ist, wobei der Wärmetauscher (80) eine Vielzahl an Sekundärleitungen (86) aufweist, wobei die Sekundärleitungen (86) mit dem Verteilerkopf (84) und der ersten Umlenkvorrichtung (90) verbunden sind, wobei die Sekundärleitungen (86) parallel zur Primärleitung (82) verlaufen und um die Primärleitung (82) herum angeordnet sind, wobei der Verteilerkopf (84) in den zweiten Bereich (30) hineinragt.
2. Konverter (10) nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Wärmetauscher (80) auf der zweiten Seite (88) Leitbleche für das Halbproduktgasgemisch aufweist.

Konverter (10) nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das zweite Katalysatorbett (50) eine Gasflussverteilvorrichtung (110) in Form einer die Oberfläche verschließenden Schicht mit Öffnungen aufweist, wobei die Öffnungen der Gasflussverteilvorrichtung (110) unterschiedliche Größen aufweisen, wobei die Größe der Öffnungen der Gasflussverteilvorrichtung (110) in Abhängigkeit von der Entfernung zum ersten Bereich (20) gewählt ist, wobei die Öffnungen angrenzend zum ersten Bereich (20) am größten sind und mit zunehmender Entfernung zum ersten Bereich (20) kleiner werden, wobei der aus dem zweiten Katalysatorbett (50) austretende Produktgasstrom direkt zum Auslass (16) geführt wird.
4. Konverter (10) nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der zweite Bereich (30) eine kegelförmige Ausnehmung zur Aufnahme des Verteilerkopfs (84) aufweist.

Konverter (10) nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der erste Bereich (20) einen ersten Boden (101 ) aufweist, wobei der zweite Bereich (30) einen zweiten Boden (102) aufweist, wobei zwischen dem ersten Boden (101 ) und dem zweiten Boden (102) die zweite Umlenkvorrichtung (100) angeordnet ist, wobei zwischen dem ersten Boden (101 ) und dem zweiten Boden (102) ein Abstandselement (103) angeordnet ist.
6. Konverter (10) nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Verteilerkopf (84) die Form eines Kugelsegments aufweist.
