Abstract
Un procédé pour l'estimation en ligne et en continu de l'état métallurgique d'un produit (1) métallique en cours de défilement dans une installation (2) de traitement en continue de produits métalliques comporte une étape de détermination de l'induction de saturation (Bsat) du produit lors du passage dudit produit métallique dans un circuit oscillant (3) à champ longitudinal équipant ladite installation.
Description
- L’invention se rapporte aux installations de traitement de produits métalliques, qu’ils soient sous la forme de brames, de billettes, de bandes, de tubes, ou de tout autre profil, pour lesquelles la connaissance de l’état métallurgique des produits est importante.
- Problèmes techniques auxquels répond l’invention et arrière-plan technique
- Les propriétés mécaniques d’un produit métallique sont intimement liées à son état métallurgique. Par exemple, la proportion d’austénite, de ferrite, de perlite, de bainite, ou de martensite dans la structure d’un produit en acier conditionnera sa résistance mécanique.
- Les installations de traitement de produits métalliques permettent de modifier l’état métallurgique d’un produit, par exemple pour en augmenter la résistance mécanique. Pour qu’elles soient opérées efficacement, il est nécessaire de connaitre l’état métallurgique des produits à différentes étapes des processus de transformation.
- Traditionnellement, le contrôle de l’état métallurgique d’un produit est effectué par un prélèvement d’un échantillon puis par son analyse micrographique au microscope combinée à d’autres tests comme des mesures de dureté ou des essais de traction. Ce mode de contrôle permet une analyse fine de l’état métallurgique des produits mais elle est faite en laboratoire et demande un temps de traitement important pour disposer de l’information. Pendant ce temps, l’installation peut produire des produits de mauvaise qualité.
- Il est connu d’utiliser des équipements dédiés au contrôle en ligne de l’état métallurgique d’un produit en cours de traitement. Ces équipements fonctionnent par exemple par la mesure d’une valeur magnétique comme la rémanence, ou par ultrasons ou par transmission de rayons X. Ils sont cependant coûteux, complexes à utiliser et nécessitent obligatoirement la mise en place d’un équipement dédié à cette fonction sur la ligne de production.
- Il est également connu de JP2005188948 d’utiliser un dispositif comprenant un ensemble de bobines pour estimer la dureté d’un produit en acier inoxydable. Le dispositif comprend une bobine d’excitation à l’intérieur de laquelle sont placées deux bobines de détection, le produit étant positionné dans l’une des bobines de détection. L’estimation de la dureté du produit est effectuée en fonction de la perméabilité magnétique du produit déterminée selon la différence entre des tensions induites dans les bobines de détection lorsqu’un courant alternatif est appliqué à la bobine d’excitation.
- Cette solution est dédiée à la détermination de la perméabilité magnétique d’un produit pour en estimer la dureté. Le dispositif est complexe et couteux avec une imbrication de bobines. Il n'est pas adapté pour le chauffage du produit, en particulier à haute température, ni pour le pilotage d’une installation de traitement thermique dudit produit.
- L’invention permet de remédier à ces problèmes.
- L’invention apporte une solution peu coûteuse permettant de disposer en ligne et en continu d’une estimation de l’état métallurgique d’un produit en cours de traitement de sorte d’optimiser les paramètres de production. De plus, dans certains de ses modes de réalisation, elle ne nécessite pas l’ajout d’un équipement dédié à cette fonction sur la ligne de production.
- Selon un premier aspect de l’invention, il est proposé un procédé d’estimation en ligne et en continu de l’état métallurgique d’un produit métallique en cours de défilement dans une installation de traitement en continue de produits métalliques, comportant une étape de détermination de l’induction de saturation (Bsat) du produit lors du passage dudit produit métallique dans un circuit oscillant à champ longitudinal équipant ladite installation.
- De préférence, le procédé comporte une détermination de la proportion d’austénite dans le produit en fonction de son induction de saturation (Bsat) déterminée lors du passage du produit métallique dans le circuit oscillant à champ longitudinal.
- Selon un deuxième aspect de l’invention, il est proposé un procédé de pilotage d’une installation de traitement en continue d’un produit métallique en défilement, comportant une étape d’estimation en ligne et en continu de l’état métallurgique d’un produit métallique en cours de défilement dans l’installation de traitement en continue selon le premier aspect de l’invention, ou l’un ou plusieurs de ses perfectionnements, suivie d’une étape d’ajustement d’un fonctionnement de l’installation en fonction de l’induction de saturation (Bsat) du produit déterminée lors de son passage dans le circuit oscillant à champ longitudinal
- Le procédé selon l’invention peut comporter une étape de comparaison de la valeur de l’induction de saturation (Bsat1) du produit déterminé lors de son passage dans le circuit oscillant à champ longitudinal avec une valeur attendue (Bsat2), l’étape d’ajustement comportant une modification d’au-moins un paramètre de fonctionnement de l’installation lorsque l’écart entre la valeur estimée (Bsat1) et la valeur attendue (Bsat2) est supérieure à un seuil prédéterminé.
- Selon une variante de réalisation de l’invention, le fonctionnement de l’installation est ajusté selon l’évolution de l’induction de saturation du produit entre une première valeur (Bsat3) déterminée lors de son passage dans un premier circuit oscillant à champ longitudinal équipant l’installation et une seconde valeur (Bsat4) déterminée lors de son passage dans un second circuit oscillant à champ longitudinal équipant l’installation.
- Selon un troisième aspect de l’invention, il est proposé une installation de traitement en continu d’un produit métallique en défilement apte à mettre en œuvre un procédé selon le premier ou le deuxième aspect de l’invention, ou l’un ou plusieurs de leurs perfectionnements, comportant un circuit oscillant à flux longitudinal traversé par ledit produit et un programme d’ordinateur apte à déterminer l’induction de saturation (Bsat) du produit circulant dans le circuit oscillant.
- Par programme d’ordinateur, on désigne tout type de programme informatique ou de logiciel de calcul, qu’il soit mis en œuvre sur un ordinateur de bureau ou un ordinateur embarqué dans une armoire électrique, un automate, un calculateur électronique ou tout autre système de contrôle et de commande d’une installation industrielle. On entend par mémoire tous types de "support de stockage/média lisible par machine". On entend par "support de stockage/média lisible par machine" ou "support de stockage/média lisible par ordinateur", sans toutefois s'y limiter, les dispositifs de stockage portables ou non portables, les dispositifs de stockage optique et divers autres supports capables de stocker, de contenir ou de supporter des instructions et / ou données, et tout support qui participe à la fourniture d'instructions à un processeur pour leur exécution. Un support lisible par machine peut inclure un support non transitoire dans lequel des données peuvent être stockées et qui n'inclut pas les ondes porteuses et / ou les signaux électroniques transitoires se propageant sans fil ou par des connexions filaires. Les formes courantes de supports lisibles par ordinateur incluent, par exemple, sans toutefois s'y limiter, une disquette, un disque flexible, un disque dur, une bande magnétique, tout autre support magnétique, un CD-ROM, un DVD, tout autre support optique, des cartes perforées, une autre support physique avec des motifs de trous, une RAM, une PROM et une EPROM, une FLASH-EPROM, toute autre puce de mémoire ou cartouche, une onde porteuse, ou tout autre support à partir duquel un ordinateur peut lire. Diverses formes de supports lisibles par ordinateur peuvent être impliquées dans le support d'une ou plusieurs séquences d'une ou plusieurs instructions vers un processeur pour leur exécution.
- Un produit programme d'ordinateur peut inclure un code et / ou des instructions exécutables par une machine pouvant représenter une procédure, une fonction, un sous-programme, un programme, une routine, un sous-programme, un module, un logiciel, une classe ou toute combinaison de instructions, structures de données ou instructions de programme. Un segment de code peut être couplé à un autre segment de code ou à un circuit matériel en transmettant et / ou en recevant des informations, des données, des arguments, des paramètres ou des contenus de mémoire. Des informations, arguments, paramètres, données, etc. peuvent être transmis, transmis ou transmis par tout moyen approprié, notamment le partage de mémoire, la transmission de messages, la transmission de jetons, la transmission réseau, etc.

- L’invention peut être mise en œuvre en utilisant un circuit oscillant présent sur l’installation dont la fonction principale est de chauffer le produit. Une fonction complémentaire est ajoutée à l’équipement existant permettant d’estimer l’induction de saturation du produit, qui dépend de son état métallurgique, sans qu’il soit nécessaire de le modifier.
- L’invention peut également être mise en œuvre en ajoutant un circuit oscillant à l’installation. Sa fonction se limite alors à l’estimation de l’état métallurgique du produit. Il n’a pas pour fonction d’assurer un chauffage du produit ou d’en modifier les propriétés. Le circuit oscillant s’apparente ainsi à un capteur de mesure d’une propriété du produit.
- La puissance du circuit oscillant est alors très faible, celle-ci étant limitée à celle nécessaire pour que le circuit fonctionne. Celui-ci n’entraine pas d’échauffement du produit, ou limite celui-ci au strict minimum.
- Un circuit oscillant selon l’invention comprend notamment une source de puissance, également appelé convertisseur, un coffret d’adaptation comprenant des capacités, et un inducteur à flux longitudinal.
- L’état métallurgique du produit est déterminé lors de son passage dans l’inducteur.
- Un circuit oscillant dont la fonction se limite à l’estimation de l’induction de saturation et de l’état métallurgique du produit peut, par exemple, avoir les caractéristiques suivantes :

- Un circuit oscillant dont la fonction principale est de chauffer le produit, et qui comprend une fonction supplémentaire d’estimation de l’induction de saturation et de l’état métallurgique du produit, peut, par exemple, avoir les caractéristiques suivantes :

- L’évaluation de l’état métallurgique du produit est obtenue à partir de mesures de grandeurs électriques du circuit oscillant effectuées en temps réel, par exemple la tension et la fréquence aux bornes de l’inducteur. Elle nécessite de connaitre les propriétés électriques du circuit oscillant, notamment l’impédance et l’inductance du circuit oscillant, l’inductance de l’inducteur, et la capacité équivalente du circuit oscillant. Elle nécessite également de connaitre la résistivité électrique du produit à la température à laquelle il se trouve dans le circuit oscillant, où à sa température moyenne entre l’entrée et la sortie du produit du circuit oscillant si celui-ci a pour fonction première de chauffer le produit.
- L’invention permet un contrôle automatique et en ligne de l’état métallurgique du produit en un point de l’installation par la détermination de la valeur de l’induction de saturation du produit lors de son passage dans le circuit oscillant et par la comparaison de celle-ci à une valeur de référence.
- Cette valeur de référence correspond à celle d’un produit ayant la qualité souhaitée, notamment en termes de structure métallurgique et de propriétés mécaniques.
- La mise en œuvre de l’invention permet ainsi d’assurer un suivi en continu de la qualité de production de l’installation.
- Un contrôle peut être effectué en plusieurs points sur une installation par l’ajout de circuits oscillants dédiés aux points où la connaisse de l’état métallurgique du produit est utile à l’optimisation de paramètres de production de l’installation.
- L’invention permet d’ajuster les paramètres de fonctionnement de l’installation pour maintenir l’état métallurgique du produit à celui attendu, en maintenant la valeur de l’induction de saturation du produit au niveau souhaité.
- L’invention permet également une traçabilité des propriétés des produits traités sur l’installation par l’enregistrement de données moyennes pour chaque produit, et de données sur la longueur de celui-ci.

Selon l’invention, le circuit oscillant comprend une fonction supplémentaire de détermination de l’induction de saturation du produit lors de son passage dans le circuit oscillant.
- Pour assurer cette fonction, un produit programme d’ordinateur 4 comprend les instructions permettant de déterminer l’induction de saturation Bsat du produit à partir d’informations provenant du circuit oscillant, telles que des valeurs d’intensité ou de tension mesurées en temps réel sur le circuit oscillant, des informations provenant du système de contrôle et de commande du four, telles que le format et la composition chimique du produit en circulation dans le circuit oscillant, la température du produit en entrée et en sortie du circuit oscillant, et des données de référence pré-enregistrées, telles que des caractéristiques structurelles du circuit oscillant ou des propriétés électromagnétiques du produit selon sa nature et sa température.
- On peut voir schématiquement représentée en
une installation 2 de traitement en continu de produits métalliques selon un second exemple de réalisation de l’invention, dans laquelle circule un produit 1. Dans cet exemple, un circuit oscillant 3 à flux longitudinal est ajouté en aval d’un four 5 dans le sens de défilement du produit. Ce circuit oscillant permet uniquement de déterminer l’induction de saturation du produit en sortie du four. - Dans cet exemple de réalisation, le circuit oscillant est de petite dimension et de faible capacité. Il est dimensionné pour assurer un couplage suffisant avec le produit pour que des mesures électriques puissent être effectuées sur le circuit oscillant, avec un échauffement minimum du produit. Idéalement, il n’y aurait pas du tout d’échauffement du produit mais il n’est pas possible d’assurer le couplage du circuit oscillant avec le produit sans qu’un léger échauffement se produise.
- On peut voir schématiquement représentée en
une installation 2 de traitement en continu de produits métalliques selon un troisième exemple de réalisation de l’invention, dans laquelle circule un produit 1. Dans cet exemple, un premier circuit oscillant 31 à flux longitudinal est disposé en amont d’un four 5 et un second circuit oscillant 32 à flux longitudinal est présent dans le four. - Le premier circuit oscillant 31 permet uniquement de déterminer l’induction de saturation du produit à l’entrée du four. Il n’a pour fonction de chauffer le produit.
- Le second circuit oscillant 32 a pour fonction principale de chauffer le produit. Une fonction supplémentaire de détermination de l’induction de saturation du produit lui a été ajoutée.
- Dans cet exemple, le programme d’ordinateur 4 détermine et compare les valeurs d’induction de saturation du produit au niveau des deux circuits oscillants.
- Par exemple, le système de contrôle et de commande du four modifie les consignes du four selon l’induction de saturation du produit déterminée à partir du premier circuit oscillant. Cette valeur étant représentative de l’état métallurgique du produit à l’entrée du four. Il est ainsi possible d’ajuster les réglages du four, et ainsi le cycle thermique suivi par le produit dans celui-ci, selon l’état initial du produit en amont du four.
- Selon un autre exemple, le système de contrôle et de commande du four modifie les consignes du four selon l’évolution de l’induction de saturation du produit entre les deux circuits oscillants.
- En variante de cet exemple de réalisation, le premier circuit oscillant placé en amont du four peut être remplacé par un modèle mathématique réalisant une estimation de ce que devrait être l’induction de saturation du produit selon des données disponibles sur celui-ci, notamment lors des étapes de production qui ont précédé son entrée dans l’installation. L’estimation ainsi obtenue est moins précise qu’avec un circuit oscillant mais elle peut convenir pour des applications moins exigeantes.
- On peut voir schématiquement représentée en
une installation 2 de traitement en continu d’un produit métallique dans laquelle circule un produit 1 selon un quatrième exemple de réalisation de l’invention. - Dans cet exemple, un premier circuit oscillant 32 à flux longitudinal est disposé dans une section de chauffage d’un four 5. Ce premier circuit oscillant 31 a pour fonction principale de chauffer le produit mais il comprend également une fonction supplémentaire de détermination de l’induction de saturation du produit lors de son passage dans le circuit oscillant.
- Un second circuit oscillant 33 est disposé dans le four à la sortie d’une seconde section, par exemple une section de refroidissement rapide. Ce second circuit oscillant 33 permet uniquement de déterminer l’induction de saturation du produit à la sortie de la première section. Il n’a pour fonction de chauffer le produit.
- Par exemple, le système de contrôle et de commande du four modifie la pente de refroidissement du produit dans la section de refroidissement du four selon l’induction de saturation déterminée à partir du premier circuit oscillant 32. Cette induction de saturation étant représentative de l’état métallurgique du produit en fin de chauffage, il est ainsi possible de modifier la pente de refroidissement selon l’état du produit en fin de chauffage.
- Dans cet exemple, le système de contrôle et de commande du four vérifie que l’induction de saturation du produit déterminée à partir du second circuit oscillant 33 est bien celle attendue. Si ce n’est pas le cas, il ajuste les paramètres de fonctionnement du four pour que la valeur déterminée coïncide avec celle attendue.
Claims (10)
- Procédé d’estimation en ligne et en continu de l’état métallurgique d’un produit métallique (1) en cours de défilement dans une installation (2) de traitement en continue de produits métalliques, caractérisé en ce qu’il comporte une étape de détermination de l’induction de saturation (Bsat) du produit lors du passage dudit produit métallique dans un circuit oscillant (3) à champ longitudinal équipant ladite installation.
- Procédé selon la revendication précédente, comportant une étape de détermination de la proportion d’austénite dans le produit (1) en fonction de son induction de saturation (Bsat) déterminée lors du passage du produit métallique dans le circuit oscillant (3) à champ longitudinal.
- Procédé de pilotage d’une installation (2) de traitement en continue d’un produit (1) métallique en défilement, comportant une étape d’estimation en ligne et en continu de l’état métallurgique d’un produit métallique (1) en cours de défilement dans l’installation (2) de traitement en continue selon l’une des revendications précédentes, suivie d’une étape d’ajustement d’un fonctionnement de l’installation en fonction de l’induction de saturation (Bsat) du produit déterminée lors de son passage dans le circuit oscillant (3) à champ longitudinal.
- Procédé selon la revendication précédente, comportant une étape de comparaison de la valeur de l’induction de saturation (Bsat1) du produit déterminé lors de son passage dans le circuit oscillant (3) à champ longitudinal avec une valeur attendue prédéterminée (Bsat2), dans lequel l’étape d’ajustement comporte une modification d’au-moins un paramètre de fonctionnement de l’installation lorsque l’écart entre la valeur estimée (Bsat1) et la valeur attendue (Bsat2) est supérieure à un seuil prédéterminé.
- Procédé selon la revendication 3, dans lequel l’étape d’ajustement du fonctionnement de l’installation est réalisée selon l’évolution de l’induction de saturation (Bsat) du produit entre une première valeur (Bsat3) déterminée lors de son passage dans un premier circuit oscillant (31) à champ longitudinal équipant l’installation et une seconde valeur (Bsat4) déterminée lors de son passage dans un second circuit oscillant (32) à champ longitudinal équipant l’installation.
- Installation (2) de traitement en continu d’un produit métallique (1) en défilement apte à mettre en œuvre un procédé selon l’une des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce qu’elle comprend un circuit oscillant (3) à flux longitudinal traversé par ledit produit et un programme d’ordinateur (4) apte à déterminer l’induction de saturation (Bsat) du produit circulant dans le circuit oscillant.
- Installation selon la revendication précédente, dans laquelle le circuit oscillant (3) a pour fonction première de chauffer le produit.
- Installation selon l’une des deux revendications précédentes, dans laquelle le circuit oscillant (3) est destiné à la détermination de l’induction de saturation (Bast) du produit.
- Installation selon la revendication précédente, dans laquelle le circuit oscillant (3) est utilisé pour le pilotage de l’installation (2).
- Produit programme d’ordinateur (4) comprenant des instructions qui lorsqu’elles sont chargées dans une mémoire d’un ordinateur de bureau ou un ordinateur embarqué dans une armoire électrique, un automate, un calculateur électronique ou tout autre système de contrôle et de commande d’une installation industrielle, conduisent un système de contrôle de commande d’une installation selon l’une quelconque des revendications 6 à 9 à exécuter les étapes d’un procédé selon l’une des revendications 1 à 5.
