Description

A HANDHELD VACUUM CLEANER AND THE CLEANING DEVICE THEREOF
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a handheld vacuum cleaner and a cleaning device which automatically discharges the dust in the handheld vacuum cleaner.
State of the Art
In the state of the art, vacuum cleaners are devices which comprise a fan motor configured to generate suction power, and which suck foreign materials such as dust together with the air by using the suction power generated by the fan motor, and separate the foreign materials in the sucked air. The vacuum cleaner comprises a dust collection chamber to collect foreign materials, and the user is required to periodically remove the dust collection chamber from the vacuum cleaner and empty the foreign materials from the dust collection chamber.
On the other hand, rechargeable upright vacuum cleaners have small dust chambers with their lightweight and handheld body designs to ensure user comfort. The dust chambers thereof are filled in a shorter time than normal horizontal vacuum cleaners. Emptying the dust chambers can be done by carrying and positioning the entire vacuum cleaner over a waste bin and emptying the same through the lid or by removing the dust chamber completely. In the cleaning process performed in this manner, the user is required to use both hands at the same time, and moreover, unhygienic situations arise such as the dust scattering around and the user handling the dust collected in the chamber. Due to this problematic cleaning process, the users refrain from cleaning the chamber, which causes clogging of the dust chamber and filters over time and poor performance in the product.
In the state of the art Patent No. EP2043492B 1, a handheld vacuum cleaner is disclosed, comprising a suction conduit having a longitudinal axis an airflow generator for generating an airflow along the suction conduit, cyclonic separating apparatus arranged in communication with the suction conduit for separating dirt and dust from the airflow, a power source for supplying power to the airflow generator and an elongate handle disposed between the airflow generator and the power source and dimensioned and arranged to be gripped by a user's hand.
Brief Description of the Invention
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a handheld vacuum cleaner which provides hygienic use by preventing the contact of users with dust and by automatically discharging foreign materials.
Another aim of the present invention is the realization of an efficient and performancesustaining cleaning device which enables the handheld vacuum cleaner to be emptied automatically and also enables the handheld vacuum cleaner to be charged.
Yet another aim of the present invention is the realization of a handheld vacuum cleaner and a cleaning device which enable the dust chamber to be cleaned automatically at the charging station after each use such that the dust chamber remains empty before each sweeping, thus providing that the product is used with higher performance.
Yet another aim of the present invention is the realization of a handheld vacuum cleaner and a cleaning device which enable the dust chamber to be cleaned regularly and effectively, thus extending the economic life of the filter by reducing the transport of dust to the filters during use.
Yet another aim of the present invention is to provide ease of use for the user with an ergonomic arrangement and vertical chamber placement, and to ensure an efficient chamber cleaning.
The handheld vacuum cleaner realize in order to attain the above aims comprises a body having a removable outer casing which defines a dust chamber an inner casing which defines a fine dust collection chamber disposed in the dust chamber and a dust inlet opening which is positioned on one surface of the outer casing and which enables the foreign materials sucked by the dust suction tube to be transferred to the dust chamber; a discharge section which is positioned on another surface of the outer casing and through which the dust is discharge from a dust chamber; an air duct which is positioned on the side of the discharge section facing the dust chamber to cover at least a portion of the discharge section and which extends towards a first end portion of the outer casing; and an air suction gap which is provided between the air duct and the first end.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The handheld vacuum cleaner (1) of the present invention comprises a body having a removable outer casing (21) and a motor, a grip portion (3), a dust suction tube (4) and at least one battery (5).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) comprises a body (2) with a longitudinal (Y-Y) axis; the grip portion (3) which has a longitudinal (X-X) axis, which is positioned at the lower part of the body (2) and which is positioned to be connected to body (2) from at least a part of a connection portion (3.1), wherein the longitudinal X-X axis of the grip portion (3) extends transversely to the longitudinal Y-Y axis of the body (2); the dust suction tube (4) which has a longitudinal (Y-Y) axis and which is positioned at the bottom of the body (2) so as to be connected with the outer wall (21) through a first opening (4.1); and at least one battery (5) which positioned between the dust suction tube (4) and the grip portion (3).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the body (2) has a first separation portion and a second separation portion. The first separation portion has an outer casing (21) wherein the dust sucked by the dust suction tube (4) is collected to be then discharged, and the second separation portion has at least one motor (not shown in the figures) which is positioned at the second end (27) portion of the body (2) and which provides the necessary power for the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) to suck the dust, and a filter (not shown in the figures) which is positioned between the first separation portion and the second separation portion so as to prevent the dust collected in the first portion from entering the motor.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first separation portion of the body (2) comprises an outer casing (21) which has walls defining a dust chamber (22); an inner casing (23) which defines a fine dust collection chamber disposed in the dust chamber (22); and a plurality of multiple cyclones (29) which are positioned adjacent to the inner casing (23) and which enable the separation of small particles in the dust chamber (22). Said small particles are retained by the filter positioned between the first separation portion and the second separation portion.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the body (2) comprises a removable outer casing (21) which has walls defining the dust chamber (22); a dust inlet opening (28) which is positioned on the first surface (24) of the outer casing (21) and which enables the foreign materials sucked by the dust suction tube (4) to be transferred to the dust chamber (22); an inner casing (23) which defines a fine dust collection chamber disposed in the dust chamber (22); a discharge section (30) which is positioned on the second surface (25) of the outer casing (21) and through which the dust in the dust chamber (22) is discharged; an air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) so as to cover at least a portion of the discharge section (30) and which extends towards a first end (26) portion of the outer casing (21); and an air suction opening (31.1) which is provided between the air duct (31) and the first end (26). Thus, the dust in the dust chamber (22) is removed from the base surface at the first end (26) and vacuumed and an effective cleaning is carried out. As shown in Figure 2, the guiding air duct (31) which is positioned behind the dust discharge section (30) in the dust chamber (22) enables the vacuum to be made from the dust chamber (22) base. Moreover, by means of said air duct (31), the air entering the dust chamber (22) through a dust inlet opening (28) which is positioned on the first surface (24) of the outer casing (21) and which enables the foreign materials sucked by the dust suction tube (4) to be transferred to the dust chamber (22) rotates in the dust chamber (22) and enables particles stuck therein such as wool, fluff, large or fine dust to be swept and directed towards the air duct (31). Thus, even the finest dust particles at any point on the bottom of the dust chamber (22) are removed and cleaned by vacuuming.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the body (2) comprises an air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) so as to cover the entire discharge section (30) and which extends towards a first end (26) portion of the outer casing (21).
In another embodiment of the present invention, the body (2) comprises an air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) so as to cover at least a portion of the discharge section (30) and which extends so as to contact the base surface of the first end (26), and an air suction gap (31.1) which is provided on at least one side of the air duct (31) which is in contact with the first end (26).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the air duct (31) is positioned in the dust chamber (22) between the inner surface (21.1) of the outer casing (21) and the inner casing (23).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the air duct (31) is positioned in the dust chamber (22) between the inner surface (21.1) of the outer casing (21) and the inner casing (23) and the multiple cyclones (29). In an embodiment of the present invention, the body (2) comprises a discharge section
(30) which is positioned on the second surface (25) of the outer casing (21) and through which the dust in a dust chamber (22) is discharged; an air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) and on the second surface (25) so as to cover at least a portion of the discharge section (30) and which extends parallel to the discharge section (30) so as to be aligned with the base surface of a first end (26) of the outer casing (21); and an air suction gap (31.1 ) which is provided at at least one side of the air duct (31) on the side of the first end (26).
In all embodiments of the present invention, the discharge section (30) and the air duct
(31) configuration is designed to provide efficiency sweeping of all the foreign materials and dust in the dust chamber (22) during the cleaning process. The air duct (31) is formed so as not to contact or so as to contact the base surface of the dust chamber (22), and if in contact, such that an air suction gap (31) is left. Here, the location of the air suction gap (31.1) can be determined according to the direction of the air flow inside the dust chamber (22) so as to be positioned on the right or left side of the air duct (31). Thus, it is provided that the air moving by rotating in the dust chamber (22) continues its rotation movement up to the base surface of the dust chamber (22) and the dust sweeping movement can be improved with the air on the base. Consequently, an air flow is created in the dust chamber (22) and all of the dust and foreign materials in the dust chamber (22) are discharged by means of said air flow.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the discharge section (30) further comprises an opening (32) through which the foreign materials in the dust chamber (22) are discharged; a lid (33) which pivotally moves over the opening (32) so as to completely cover the opening (32); and a shaft (34) which enables the lid (33) to be mounted on the second surface (25) of the outer casing (21).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the shaft (34) can be positioned at an upper part or a middle part or a lower part of the opening (32). Thus, the lid (33) pivotally opens and closes so as to discharge the dust in the dust chamber (22).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the discharge section (30) further comprises a lid gasket (36) which is positioned around the opening (32) and on which the lid (33) presses when closed. Said lid gasket (36) can be provided on the lid (33) or on the outer casing (21) aligning with the opening (32). By means of said lid gasket (36), tightness is provided between the lid (33) and the opening (32).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the discharge section (30) further comprises at least one spring mechanism (35) which provides the pivotal movement of the lid (33) on the shaft (34) and which enables the lid (33) to remain closed and press on the lid gasket (36).
In an embodiment of the present invention, a cleaning device (6) is suitable for use with a handheld vacuum cleaner (1) comprising a dust chamber (22) wherein foreign materials are collected by separation by centrifugal rotation, and comprises a dust collection station (7) having a seating surface (9) to which the connection of the first end (26) of the outer casing (21) is provided from at least a part in order to remove the foreign materials collected in the dust chamber (22).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the dust collection station (7) comprises a seating surface (9) which is provided on one side of the dust collection station (7) and whereon the first end (26) of the outer casing (21) is entirely seated; a vacuum channel (8) which is positioned inside the dust collection station (7), which aligns with the discharge section (30) so as to cover at least a part of the discharge section (30) and which enables the foreign materials in the dust chamber (22) to be vacuumed and sucked; and a collection portion (10) wherein foreign materials vacuumed from the dust chamber (22) are collected after passing through the vacuum channel (8).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the inverted L-shaped vacuum channel (8) which is provided inside the dust collection station (7) comprises a suction port (8.1) which is provided at the end of the short side thereof, which contacts the discharge section (30) and which covers the entire discharge section (30); and a discharge opening (8.2) which opens to the collection portion (10) from the end of the long side thereof, to which the foreign materials vacuumed through the vacuum port (8.1) are delivered.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the collection portion (10) where foreign materials are collected is configured to be connected to the vacuum channel (8). In an embodiment of the present invention, the lid (33) which completely covers the opening (32) positioned on the second surface (25) of the outer casing (21) completely closes the discharge section (30). Said cover (33) can be opened with user intervention or can be opened automatically by placing the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) on the dust collection station (7).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) comprises a discharge section (30) wherein the lid (33) automatically shifts from the closed position to the open position upon being placed on the seating surface (9) at the dust collection station (7).
In an embodiment of the present invention, after the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) is placed on the dust collection station (7), the lid (33) provided on the second surface (25) of the outer casing (21) is seated on the vacuum port (8.1). The lid (33) seated on the vacuum port (8.1) opens automatically. After the lid (33) is opened, the air in the dust chamber (22) is directed by the effect of the vacuum and the foreign materials are swept into the opening (32), by means of the air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) so as to cover at least a part of the discharge section (30) and which extends towards a first end (26) portion of the outer casing (21). Foreign materials passing through the vacuum channel (8) are transferred from the discharge port (8.2) to the collection portion (10). The lid (33) closes automatically when the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) is removed from the dust collection station (7) after the emptying of the dust chamber (22) is completed.
The cleaning process of the dust chamber (22) starts automatically when the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) is placed on the seating surface (9) of the dust collection station (7) or by pressing a button on the dust collection station (7). The dust collection station (7) is a structure having the vacuum channel (8), the collection portion (10 with a dust bag connected to the vacuum channel (8), a motor providing the operation of the dust collection station (7), and the air outlet filter provided between the motor and the collection portion (10). When the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) is seated on the dust collection station (7), the vacuum port (8.1) at the end of the vacuum channel (8) fits around the opening (32) provided on the second surface (25) of the dust chamber (22). The motor in the dust collection station (7) is operated and the dust in the dust chamber (22) starts to be sucked through the vacuum channel (8). Dust passes through the vacuum channel (8) and fills into the dust bag. On the other hand, the air passes through the dust bag to the motor and then passes through the filter provided after the motor so as to be discharged out. After the process is completed, the motor stops and the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) continues to be charged in the dust collection station (7).

Claims

1. A handheld vacuum cleaner ( 1 ) comprising a body (2) having a removable outer casing (21) which has walls defining the dust chamber (22), a dust inlet opening (28) which is positioned on the first surface (24) of the outer casing (21) and which enables the foreign materials sucked by the dust suction tube (4) to be transferred to the dust chamber (22) and an inner casing (23) which defines a fine dust collection chamber disposed in the dust chamber (22), characterized by a discharge section (30) which is positioned on the second surface (25) of the outer casing (21) and through which the dust in the dust chamber (22) is discharged, an air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) so as to cover at least a portion of the discharge section (30) and which extends towards a first end (26) portion of the outer casing (21) and an air suction opening (31.1) which is provided between the air duct (31) and the first end (26).
2. A handheld vacuum cleaner (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by the body (2) comprising the air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) so as to cover the entire discharge section (30) and which extends towards the first end (26) portion of the outer casing (21), and the air suction gap (31.1) which is provided between the air duct (31) and the first end (26).

A handheld vacuum cleaner (1) as in Claim 1 or 2, characterized by the body (2) comprising the air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) so as to cover at least a portion of the discharge section (30) and which extends so as to contact the base surface of the first end (26), and the air suction gap (31.1) which is provided on at least one side of the air duct (31) which is in contact with the first end (26).
4. A handheld vacuum cleaner (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the air duct (31) which is positioned between the inner surface (21.1) of the outer casing (21) and the inner casing (23).

A handheld vacuum cleaner (1) as in Claim 2, characterized by the body (2) comprising the discharge section (30) which is positioned on the second surface (25) of the outer casing (21) and through which the dust in a dust chamber (22) is discharged, the air duct (31) which is positioned on the side of the discharge section (30) facing the dust chamber (22) so as to cover at least a portion of the discharge section (30), and an air suction gap (31.1) which is provided at at least one side of the air duct (31).

A handheld vacuum cleaner (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the discharge section (30) comprising an opening (32) through which the foreign materials in the dust chamber (22) are discharged, a lid (33) which pivotally moves over the opening (32) so as to completely cover the opening (32), and a shaft (34) which enables the lid (33) to be mounted on the second surface (25) of the outer casing (21).
7. A handheld vacuum cleaner (1) as in Claim 6, characterized by the discharge section (30) comprising a lid gasket (36) which is positioned around the opening (32) and on which the lid (33) presses when in the closed position.
8. A handheld vacuum cleaner (1) as in Claim 7, characterized by the discharge section (30) comprising at least one spring mechanism (35) which provides the pivotal movement of the lid (33) on the shaft (34) and which enables the lid (33) to remain closed and press on the lid gasket (36).
9. A cleaning device (6) characterized by a handheld vacuum cleaner (1) as in any one of the above claims and a dust collection station (7) having a seating surface (9) to which the connection of the first end (26) of the outer casing (21) is provided from at least a part.
10. A cleaning device (6) as in Claim 10, characterized by the dust collection station (7) comprising the seating surface (9) which is provided on the side of the dust collection station (7) and whereon the first end (26) of the outer casing (21) is entirely seated; a vacuum channel (8) which is positioned inside the dust collection station (7), which aligns with the discharge section (30) so as to cover at least a part of the discharge section (30) and which enables the foreign materials in the dust chamber (22) to be vacuumed and sucked; and a collection portion (10) wherein foreign materials vacuumed from the dust chamber (22) are collected after passing through the vacuum channel (8).
11. A cleaning device (6) as in Claim 11, characterized by the inverted L- shaped vacuum channel (8) which is provided inside the dust collection station (7) comprises a suction port (8.1) which is provided at the end of the short side thereof, which contacts the discharge section (30) and which covers the entire discharge section (30); and a discharge opening (8.2) which opens to the collection portion (10) from the end of the long side thereof, to which the foreign materials vacuumed through the vacuum port (8.1) are delivered.
12. A cleaning device (6) as in Claim 11, characterized by the vacuum channel (8) which is configured to be connected to the collection portion (10) where foreign materials are collected.
13. A cleaning device (6) as in any one Claims 10 to 12, characterized by the handheld vacuum cleaner (1) comprising the discharge section (30) wherein the lid (33) automatically shifts from the closed position to the open position upon being placed on the seating surface (9) at the dust collection station (7).
