Abstract

The invention relates to a candle with reversible holder wherein the holder comprises two bodies (1, 2) joined by their common base. One of the bodies (1) is larger than the other (2). Each of the bodies has a cavity (3, 5), one of the cavities (3) being that of the larger body (1), with a larger radius and capacity than the cavity (5) of the smaller body (2). The larger and smaller cavities (3, 5) are open at their opposite bases. These cavities (3, 5) are each suitable for housing a candle. If two holders are arranged in a stacked manner, one above the other, the smaller body (2) of one of the holders will be inserted into the larger cavity (3) of the adjacent holder.

Description

The invention relates to a candle with reversible holder wherein the holder comprises two bodies joined by their common base. One of the bodies is larger than the other. Each of the bodies has a cavity, one of the cavities being that of the larger body, with a larger radius and capacity than the cavity of the smaller body. The larger and smaller cavities are open at their opposite bases. These cavities are each suitable for housing a candle.
If two holders are arranged in a stacked manner, one above the other, the smaller body of one of the holders will be inserted into the larger cavity of the adjacent holder.
The technical field to which the invention belongs is that of decoration.

BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION

In the patent literature, there is a wide variety of reversible holders for candles with an upper and a lower cavity, both suitable for housing different diameters of candles. Depending on the position adopted by the holder, one of the cavities houses the candle and the other performs the function of resting on a surface.
One of the problems to be resolved with the present invention is the possibility of selling the candle inside the reversible holder by stacking the holders since it is common that when two containers are stacked on top of each other, the capacity of the cavity of the container that receives and houses the body of the other is decreased. Achieving a stack and continuing to use a cavity to house the candle is a commercial advantage since a pack of two different candles can be presented commercially, for example one aromatic and one insecticide or both aromatic but with different aromas.
Another problem to be resolved is to avoid that, in the stack, the body of the candle holder that is inserted into the cavity of the adjoining one rests on the paraffin or the wax of the candle existing in that cavity as well as to generate a sufficient space so that the wick is not crushed or damaged.
An example of devices existing in the state of the art and which relate to reversible candle holders is utility model ES0148287U , which comprises a tubular body open at its bases, one of them being larger than the other, one of them being able to house candles of greater diameter than the other, said body having a series of radial fins to promote stability, but not allowing stacking.
Utility model U201330034 of the same applicant, which relates to an improved holder for candles of the type that have, in an opposing position, two candle holder openings of different dimensions characterised in that it comprises a hollow body divided internally into two cavities, one larger and one smaller, where each cavity has a smaller inner base and a larger and open outer base. In this case, stacking involves the occupation of the larger cavity, so stacking complicates the option of selling
Patent FR2753777A1 relates to a candle for decorative use where it is observed that the candle holder structure has a first open base to house a larger candle, and a second base of smaller diameter that provides support on a surface, this invention is oriented towards safety candles emphasising the insulating material from which they are manufactured. It does not solve the problem of being able to stack by guaranteeing the integrity of the candle arranged inside the holder and, in addition, it does not have a reversible holder.
There are also references on the market, such as the "two in one" candle holder by designer Oscar Díaz, accessible at http://www.dezeen.com/2011/09/07/duo-by-oscar-diaz-for-doiy/, of reversible holders made of silicone and suitable for housing an elongated conventional candle on one of its bases and, on the other, a tea light-type candle, whose extraction is facilitated by being able to deform the holder because it is made of silicone, however silicone imposes limitations in terms of transparency, light effects and others that are also intended to be resolved and the geometry does not resolve the stacking by keeping one of the cavities useful or preserving the candle inside.
From the previous inventions it is not appreciated that the candle holder has the characteristic of being able to be disposed on top of each other, on display, in a stable way, being held together only by a band or tape that surrounds them, in addition to not being observed that when stacking one on top of another the integrity of the content of the candle holder will not be affected, especially the integrity of the candle wick.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

To resolve the above problems, the invention relates to a candle with a reversible holder wherein that holder comprises two bodies joined by their closed bases, the opposing bases of both being open. One of the bodies is of smaller radius than the other so that at the joint by its closed bases a ledge is generated outside the smaller body.
The open base of the larger body has an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of its closed base. However, this inner diameter of the open base of the larger body is greater than the larger outer diameter of the smaller body.
The ratio between diameters stated allows that in the case of stacking one holder on another, only the smaller body of a holder is inserted in the open base of the larger body of another holder since the outer ledge of the smaller body abuts and prevents a holder from continuing to be inserted in another holder occupying its larger cavity.
When the smaller body of a holder is inserted in a larger cavity of another holder, preferably in a tight manner, a lateral stop is generated, preventing the lateral displacement of one holder with respect to the other, which is especially useful for its sale two by two with an outer band that prevents its vertical movement and therefore that the smaller body of a holder inserted in the larger cavity of the other, comes out of its housing.
In a preferred embodiment, the outer walls of the larger and smaller body are vertical.
The holder therefore comprises:

A larger body with one of its bases open and the opposite closed.
A smaller body with one of its bases open and the opposite closed.
A joint of the larger body and smaller body by their closed bases.
A ledge exterior to the smaller body at its point of joining with the larger body.
A larger cavity inside the larger body communicated to the outside by the open base of the larger body.
A smaller cavity inside the smaller body communicated to the outside by the open base of the smaller body.

Wherein:
The larger cavity accessed by the open base of the larger body is suitable for housing the smaller body of a second holder.
The outer ledge to the smaller body of a second holder is suitable to act as a stop and prevent the larger body of the second holder from being inserted into the larger cavity of a first holder.
The larger cavity houses a candle that, in a preferred option, can be formed by disposing a wick in that cavity and pouring paraffin or wax, among others, although other types of candles can be used.
Also in a preferred embodiment, the larger cavity that houses the candle will be occupied by the candle until a height less than the height difference between the height of the larger cavity and the height of the smaller body in such a way that if two holders are stacked, the smaller body of the second holder that is inserted in the larger cavity of the first holder does not rest on the candle.
On the other hand, the smaller cavity of the inserted smaller body generates a suitable housing so that, in case of stacking two holders, the wick of the candle of the larger cavity of the first holder, is housed in the smaller cavity of the second holder during the storage and display processes, thereby avoiding its crushing.
This allows, on a commercial level, two holders with two candles, a first holder below and a second holder above the other, to be firmly joined only by the tape or band that surrounds them without the risk of coming out of the wrapper, since their complementary geometries allow a certain firmness as the larger open base of one is partially coupled with the side stop that surrounds the smaller open base.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

FIG. 1 Shows the holder in reverse positions and thus in position A, the larger body (1) is above the smaller body (2) and the larger cavity (3) can be seen which is accessed by the open base of the larger body. DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the invention is described here that is not limiting but merely explanatory.
The invention relates to a candle with reversible holder, the holder being suitable for housing a first candle disposed in the larger cavity. This candle can be joined to the body of the holder because it has been manufactured within a larger cavity of the holder by placing a wick in it and filling it with wax or paraffin, although other types of candles are also allowed.
The holder comprises:
A larger body (1) with a larger cavity (3) which is accessed through the open base of that larger body.
A smaller body (2) with a smaller cavity (5) accessed through the open base of that smaller body.
A joining point where the larger body and the smaller body are joined by their closed bases and where a ledge (4) is generated by the difference in diameter between the base of the larger body and that of the smaller body.
The smaller body has a suitable geometry and dimensions to be inserted into the larger cavity of another holder during stacking. The ledge (4) acts as a stop in the event of stacking, preventing the holder stacked on the larger body from sliding inside the larger cavity, occupying it or damaging the candle inside it.
A candle (6) partially occupies the larger cavity (3). Preferably, this candle has been manufactured inside said holder by pouring wax or paraffin into the larger cavity where a wick had previously been disposed.
This candle inside the larger cavity has a height less than the difference between the total height of the larger cavity and the height of the smaller body in such a way that when two holders are stacked and the smaller body of one of them is inserted into the larger cavity of the other, it will not reach the candle inside the larger cavity.
In the larger body, the inner diameter of its open base is greater than the maximum outer diameter of the smaller body but less than the outer diameter of its closed base, so if two stacked holders are provided, the larger cavity of a first holder is suitable for housing the smaller body of a second holder and the ledge of that second holder acts as a stop against the edge of the larger cavity of the first holder preventing it from being occupied by the second holder.
The smaller body (2) has a smaller cavity (5) suitable for housing a tea light-type candle but, at the same time, suitable for, when stacking holders on top of each other, that the wick of the candle of one holder is not damaged by the smaller body of another holder inserted in the larger cavity of the first of them. To this end, the smaller cavity has a depth of between 15 and 20 millimetres and an inner diameter of between 44.5 and 49 millimetres.

Claims

CANDLE WITH REVERSIBLE HOLDER that has two open bases opposite each other, characterised in that it comprises:
- A larger body (1) with a larger cavity (3) which is accessed through the open base of that larger body.

- A smaller body (2) with a smaller cavity (5) accessed through the open base of that smaller cavity.

- A joining point of the larger body and the smaller body by their closed bases.

- The closed base of the smaller body has a smaller diameter than the closed base of the larger body, generating a ledge (4) at the joint of both bases.

- A candle in its larger cavity.
In the larger body, the inner diameter of its open base is greater than the maximum outer diameter of the smaller body but less than the outer diameter of its closed base, so if two stacked holders are disposed, the larger cavity of a first holder is suitable for housing the smaller body of a second holder and the ledge of that second holder acts as a stop against the edge of the larger cavity of the first holder, preventing it from being occupied by the second holder.
CANDLE WITH REVERSIBLE HOLDER according to claim 1, characterised in that the smaller cavity has a depth of between 15 and 20 millimetres and an inner diameter of between 44.5 and 49 millimetres and is suitable for, in the case of stacking holders, housing the wick of the candle of the adjacent holder inside.
