Abstract

Provided is a method of recycling a developing cartridge including: a developing roller; and a casing. The method includes: a refilling step; and a developing roller rotating step. The refilling step includes refilling the casing with new toner after use of the developing cartridge. The developing roller rotating step includes rotating the developing roller for a first time period. The first time period is set based on a difference between a first charge amount and a second charge amount. The first charge amount indicates an electric charge amount of old toner accommodated in the casing before the use of the developing cartridge. The second charge amount indicates an electric charge amount of the new toner. The first time period set when the difference equals a first difference value is longer than the first time period set when the difference equals a second difference value smaller than the first difference value.
