- connection may refer to fixed connection, detachable connection or integrated connection; it may refer to mechanical connection or electrical connection; and alternatively, it may refer to direct connection, or indirect connection through an intermediate medium.
- high-end clothing does not emphasize the price of the clothing, but refers to clothing that is traditionally recommended for dry cleaning, as the clothing is usually made from animal protein and high-quality fabrics. Therefore, the clothing is referred to as high-end clothing in this application.
- the existing front-loading washing machine causes significant damage to the clothing, especially high-end clothing.
- clothing is usually made from animal protein, and high-quality fabrics, such as wool clothing, suits, silk quilts, silk and woollen coats. After washing, wrinkles, severe wear, shrinkage or stretching and deformation are common. Dry cleaning is usually recommended for this type of clothing. While minimizing damage to the clothing, dry cleaning involves carcinogenic chemicals that have been banned in some countries and contribute to environmental pollution. In addition, dry cleaning is only available in stores and is difficult to do at home.
- the present invention provides a front-loading washing machine and a wet washing method for high-end clothing.
- the wet washing method is mainly applied to the front-loading washing machine.
- the front-loading washing machine includes a controller and an inner drum.
- the controller is configured to execute the above wet washing method for high-end clothing.
- High-end clothing includes wool, suits, silk, silk quilts, and woollen coats.
- the wet washing method includes: compared with a washing procedure for laundry of the same weight, reducing a mechanical force exerted by the inner drum of the front-loading washing machine on the laundry and improving the caring effect of a detergent on the laundry during the washing and rinsing processes.
- the step of "reducing a mechanical force exerted by the inner drum of the front-loading washing machine on the laundry” specifically includes: reducing a rotation speed of the inner drum, and reducing a rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum. Reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum can reduce the number and intensity of times of the clothing being lifted and reduce the tumbling frequency of the clothing, thereby reducing the mechanical force acting on the clothing and protecting the clothing from being damaged. Reducing the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum and reducing the overall rotation time can also reduce the lifting frequency of the clothing, which in turn reduce the number of impacts, thereby reducing the mechanical force acting on the clothing. Reducing the rotation duration equivalently increases the soaking duration, allowing the detergent to better exert the chemical efficacy, and leading to improved washing and protective effects.
- “Reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum” includes: compared with the washing procedure for the laundry of the same weight, reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum by more than 10%.
- the rotation speed of the existing conventional washing is about 45 rpm, and the rotation speed of the inner drum is controlled within a range of 20-40 rpm in the wet washing procedure of this application.
- Lifting ribs of the inner drum are raised by more than 10% or 20% on the basis of reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum. Due to the reduced rotation speed of the inner drum, the clothing may not tumble properly during the washing process, resulting in uneven washing of the clothing. Therefore, by raising the lifting ribs of the inner drum, the clothing can still be effectively tumbled over even at a low rotation speed, ensuring more uniform washing of the clothing.
- the conventional lifting ribs are about 40 mm.
- the lifting ribs are raised to at least 50 mm, preferably 60 mm in this embodiment, and may also be 55 mm, etc. in other embodiments.
- Reducing a rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum includes: controlling the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum to be smaller than 1:2. Specifically, the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum is controlled within a range of 1:2 to 1:6 in the wet washing procedure. More specifically, the inner drum rotates for 3-10 seconds and stops for 20-60 seconds.
- the detergent includes a wet washing solution and a fibre protectant.
- the wet washing solution contains lanolin, and the fibre protectant contains at least a silicone polymer.
- the step of "improving the caring effect of a detergent on the laundry" specifically includes:
- the wet washing solution is used in the washing stage, and the amount of the wet washing solution added is 10-30 grams, depending on the weight of the laundry. A typical ratio is 10 grams of the wet washing solution per kilogram of clothing.
- the appropriate amount of the wet washing solution is added according to the estimated weight of the clothing, which but cannot be less than 10 grams. This ensures that the concentration of the wet washing solution in the inner drum is sufficient to achieve the washing effect.
- the lanolin in the wet washing solution can wrap the fibres of clothing to prevent entanglement, effectively avoiding water-induced shrinkage, and preventing the clothing from shrinking.
- the wet washing solution also contains the surfactant, which can make the wet washing solution produce more foam, enabling the wet washing solution to effectively remove stains from the clothing.
- the wet washing solution since the amount of high-end clothing to be washed in a single load is generally small, usually one or two items, the total weight typically does not exceed 3 kilograms. Therefore, the amount of the wet washing solution required is not excessive. Furthermore, even if more clothing is added, adding 30 grams of the wet washing agent is sufficient to ensure the proper concentration of the wet washing agent due to the water level in the inner drum, thereby ensuring the washing effect.
- the fibre protectant is added in the rinsing stage.
- the amount of the fibre protectant added is 8-30 grams, depending on the weight of the laundry. A typical ratio is 8 grams of the fibre protectant per kilogram of clothing.
- the appropriate amount of fibre protectant is added according to the estimated weight of the clothing, which but cannot be less than 8 grams. This ensures that the concentration of the fibre protectant in the inner drum is sufficient to effectively protect the clothing.
- An upper limit is set so that even if a larger load of the clothing is added, 30 grams of the fibre protectant can ensure the necessary concentration of the fibre protectant due to the water level in the inner drum, thereby maintaining effective protection on the clothing during the rinsing process.
- the fibre protectant contains a silicone polymer, which enables the fibre protectant to form a protective film on the surface of the clothing, helping to preserve the gloss of the clothing, preventing stain accumulation, and eliminating foam, thereby achieving the purpose of rinsing and protecting the clothing.
- the water level in the inner drum for washing and/or rinsing is controlled within a range of 60-100 mm according to the weight of the laundry. Specifically, the water level during washing is lower than that during rinsing. A lower water level during washing is mainly to increase the concentration of the wet washing solution, thereby ensuring the washing effect. A higher water level during rinsing is mainly to improve the rinsing effect. Furthermore, the washing and/or rinsing water level is selected according to the weight of the clothing. When the amount of clothing is small, the water level in the inner drum is lower, and when the amount of clothing is large, the water level in the inner drum is higher.
- the water level must not be lower than the minimum water level to ensure effective soaking and thus guarantee the washing and rinsing effects.
- the water level must not be higher than the maximum water level to prevent the clothing from floating on the water surface, which would prevent the water at the bottom from playing an effective washing role.
- the number of rinsing cycle does not exceed 3 times.
- the number of rinsing cycle is controlled to be 1 time. Since the amount of the wet washing solution used is relatively small, a single rinsing is sufficient to ensure the rinsing effect. Moreover, fewer rinsing cycles can also effectively protect the clothing from being damaged due to excessive rinsing. During the rinsing process, a warm water rinsing can be added after the standard rinsing, but the total number of rinsing cycles cannot exceed 3 times. The specific number of rinsing cycles depends on the type of laundry.
- One rinsing cycle is sufficient for thinner clothing, and two or three rinsing cycles may be needed for more and thicker clothing. Specifically, silk clothing only needs one rinsing cycle, while woollen coats or woollen clothing may be rinsed two or three times.
- the wet washing method further includes: controlling a water temperature for washing and/or rinsing within a range of 20-40 degrees, allowing for washing with warm water. This helps fully activate the washing effect of the detergent to ensure the washing effect.
- the wet washing method further includes: increasing an eccentric adjustment threshold to at least twice a conventional washing threshold in a dehydration stage, or cancelling an eccentric adjustment operation in the dehydration stage, where the eccentric adjustment threshold is increased to infinity.
- There are various ways to measure the eccentric adjustment threshold A common way is to monitor the current of a drive motor and estimate its force. Hence, a travel switch can also be used for detection.
- Increasing the eccentric adjustment threshold can shorten the time required for balancing the inner drum, thereby reducing the duration and frequency of the clothing being tumbled in the inner drum, and effectively protecting the clothing from being damaged.
- the dehydration stage lasts for 1-3 minutes. Increasing the eccentric adjustment threshold or cancelling the eccentric adjustment operation saves dehydration time, thereby ensuring effective dehydration of the clothing in a shorter time than the normal dehydration time.
- the wet washing method further includes a pretreatment step of applying a powerful detergent to specific parts of the laundry before starting washing. Applying a powerful detergent can ensure that the dirtier or stubborn stains can be broken down before washing, allowing them to be easily removed during the washing process, and ensuring the washing effect.
- Water and a wet washing solution are added.
- the amount of water is selected according to the type of clothing.
- the wet washing solution is added simultaneously during the water adding process, or the wet washing solution can be added first.
- the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum is 1:6 during the water adding process.
- a washing operation is performed.
- the rotation speed of the inner drum is controlled at 25 rpm, and the rotation-stop ratio is controlled at 1:4, rotating for 5 seconds and stopping for 20 seconds. This ensures sufficient contact between the wet washing solution and the clothing, allowing the wet washing solution to fully activate. At the same time, spraying is initiated.
- the machine remains stationary during drainage after washing is completed, with a drainage time of 30 seconds.
- a low water level in the washing machine eliminates the need for longer draining.
- the water and a fibre protectant are added.
- the fibre protectant may be added before or during the water adding process, as long as it can be flushed into the washing machine.
- the amount of water and the dosage of the fibre protectant are determined according to the weight of the clothing.
- Rinsing is performed.
- the rotation-stop ratio during the rinsing process is also 1:4, and rotates for 5 seconds and stopping for 20 seconds.
- the rotation speed of the inner drum is controlled at 25 rpm.
- the machine remains stationary during drainage, with a drainage time of 30 seconds.
- the number of washing cycles may also be increased accordingly based on the type, weight and stain of the clothing.
- the number of rinsing cycles may also be increased accordingly based on the amount of wet washing solution used and the type of clothing. If the number of washing cycles increases, the corresponding procedures of water addition, wet washing solution addition, drainage, and dehydrating will also increase accordingly. Similarly, if the number of rinsing cycles increases, the corresponding procedures of water addition, fibre protectant addition, drainage, and dehydrating will also increase accordingly.

- In a second aspect, the present invention provides a front-loading washing machine, including a controller configured to be able to execute the above wet washing method for high-end clothing.
- By adopting the above technical solution, the present invention has the effects of, compared with a washing procedure of laundry of the same weight, reducing a mechanical force exerted by an inner drum of the front-loading washing machine on the laundry and improving the caring effect of a detergent on the laundry during the washing and rinsing processes. Reducing the mechanical force acting on the clothing can reduce impact caused by tumbling and friction on the clothing, thereby protecting the clothing from damage or even preventing damage altogether. Moreover, the detergent can care for the clothing, helping to preserve the clothing during washing. This dual protection of the reduction of the mechanical force acting on the clothing and the detergent can ensure that the clothing will not shrink, wear out, or become wrinkled after washing.
- The wet washing method of the present invention can achieve the effect of dry cleaning, while is more environmentally friendly and harmless to the human body than dry cleaning. In addition, this effect can be achieved at home, eliminating the need to visit a store, thereby saving time and cost.
- Furthermore, reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum can reduce the number and intensity of times of the clothing being lifted and dropped, thereby reducing the mechanical force acting on the clothing and protecting the clothing from being damaged. Reducing the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum and reducing the overall rotation time can also reduce the lifting frequency of the clothing, which in turn reduces the number of impacts, thereby reducing the mechanical force acting on the clothing. In addition, reducing the rotation duration equivalently increases the soaking duration, allowing the detergent to better exert the chemical efficacy, and leading to improved washing and protective effects.
- Furthermore, the lanolin in the wet washing solution can wrap the fibres of clothing, preventing entanglement and effectively avoiding water-induced shrinkage, thereby preventing the clothing from shrinking. The surfactant in the wet washing solution can make the wet washing solution produce more foam, enabling the wet washing solution to effectively remove stains from the clothing.
- Yet furthermore, the silicone polymer in the fibre protectant enables the fibre protectant to form a protective film on the surface of the clothing, maintaining the gloss of the clothing, making it difficult for stains to deposit, and eliminating foam, thereby achieving the purpose of rinsing and protecting the clothing.
- Yet furthermore, controlling the water level in the inner drum can ensure effective soaking to guarantee washing and rinsing effects, and can also prevent the clothing from floating on the water surface when the water level is too high, which would prevent the water at the bottom from playing an effective washing role.
- Preferred implementations of the present invention are described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a flowchart of clothing washing using a wet washing method for high-end clothing provided by the present invention. - Preferred implementations of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Those skilled in the art should understand that these implementations are only used to explain the technical principles of the present invention, and are not intended to limit the scope of protection of the present invention.
- It should be noted that, in the description of the present invention, terms such as "upper", "lower", "left", "right", "inner" and "outer" indicating orientation or positional relationships are based on the orientation or positional relationships shown in the accompanying drawings, merely for ease of description, rather than indicating or implying that related devices or components must have specific orientations and be constructed and operated in specific orientations. Therefore, these terms cannot be construed as limiting the present invention. In addition, ordinal numbers "first," "second," and the like are used merely for descriptive purposes and are not to be construed as indicating or implying relative importance.
- In addition, it should be noted that in the description of the present invention, unless otherwise explicitly specified and defined, the terms "installation" and "connection" should be understood in a broad sense. For example, the connection may refer to fixed connection, detachable connection or integrated connection; it may refer to mechanical connection or electrical connection; and alternatively, it may refer to direct connection, or indirect connection through an intermediate medium. Those skilled in the art can understood the specific meaning of the above terms in the present invention based on particular context.
- Furthermore, in order to more clearly demonstrate the core technical solution of the present invention, the description of well-known structures and washing methods of the front-loading washing machine is omitted in the following description. However, this omission is only for ease of description and does not mean that the front-loading washing machine can be without these structures and washing methods. In addition, in this application, "high-end clothing" does not emphasize the price of the clothing, but refers to clothing that is traditionally recommended for dry cleaning, as the clothing is usually made from animal protein and high-quality fabrics. Therefore, the clothing is referred to as high-end clothing in this application.
- Although effective for washing most clothing, the existing front-loading washing machine causes significant damage to the clothing, especially high-end clothing. Such clothing is usually made from animal protein, and high-quality fabrics, such as wool clothing, suits, silk quilts, silk and woollen coats.

- The wet washing method includes: compared with a washing procedure for laundry of the same weight, reducing a mechanical force exerted by the inner drum of the front-loading washing machine on the laundry and improving the caring effect of a detergent on the laundry during the washing and rinsing processes.
- The step of "reducing a mechanical force exerted by the inner drum of the front-loading washing machine on the laundry" specifically includes: reducing a rotation speed of the inner drum, and reducing a rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum.
- "Reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum" includes: compared with the washing procedure for the laundry of the same weight, reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum by more than 10%. Specifically, the rotation speed of the existing conventional washing is about 45 rpm, and the rotation speed of the inner drum is controlled within a range of 20-40 rpm in the wet washing procedure of this application. Lifting ribs of the inner drum are raised by more than 10% or 20% on the basis of reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum. For a conventional inner drum with a diameter of 525 mm, the conventional lifting ribs are about 40 mm. In the application, the lifting ribs are raised to at least 50 mm, preferably 60 mm in this embodiment, and may also be 55 mm, etc. in other embodiments.
- "Reducing a rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum" includes: controlling the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum to be smaller than 1:2. Specifically, the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum is controlled within a range of 1:2 to 1:6 in the wet washing procedure. More specifically, the inner drum rotates for 3-10 seconds and stops for 20-60 seconds.
- Regarding "reducing the rotation speed of the inner drum and reducing the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum", it should be noted that although this embodiment intends to simultaneously reduce the rotation speed of the inner drum and reduce the rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum, this is not a limitation on the present invention. Without departing from the principles of the present invention, those skilled in the art may also choose to implement only one of the both according to washing needs in other embodiments, which does not deviate from the basic principles of the present invention and still fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
- The detergent includes a wet washing solution and a fibre protectant. The wet washing solution contains lanolin, and the fibre protectant contains at least a silicone polymer.
- The step of "improving the caring effect of a detergent on the laundry" specifically includes:
- using the wet washing solution in a washing stage; and/or
- adding the fibre protectant in a rinsing stage; and/or
- controlling a water level in the inner drum for washing and/or rinsing to be below 100 mm, where the water level in the inner drum refers to the water level inside the inner drum, specifically the height from the inner bottom surface of the inner drum to the water surface, not the water level in an outer drum; and/or
- rinsing no more than 3 times.
- Specifically, the wet washing solution is used in the washing stage, and the amount of the wet washing solution added is 10-30 grams, depending on the weight of the laundry. A typical ratio is 10 grams of the wet washing solution per kilogram of clothing. During the washing process, the appropriate amount of the wet washing solution is added according to the estimated weight of the clothing, which but cannot be less than 10 grams. This ensures that the concentration of the wet washing solution in the inner drum is sufficient to achieve the washing effect. The lanolin in the wet washing solution can wrap the fibres of clothing to prevent entanglement, effectively avoiding water-induced shrinkage, and preventing the clothing from shrinking. In addition, the wet washing solution also contains the surfactant, which can make the wet washing solution produce more foam, enabling the wet washing solution to effectively remove stains from the clothing.
- Regarding the wet washing solution, it should be noted that since the amount of high-end clothing to be washed in a single load is generally small, usually one or two items, the total weight typically does not exceed 3 kilograms.
The amount of the fibre protectant added is 8-30 grams, depending on the weight of the laundry. A typical ratio is 8 grams of the fibre protectant per kilogram of clothing. During the washing process, the appropriate amount of fibre protectant is added according to the estimated weight of the clothing, which but cannot be less than 8 grams. This ensures that the concentration of the fibre protectant in the inner drum is sufficient to effectively protect the clothing. An upper limit is set so that even if a larger load of the clothing is added, 30 grams of the fibre protectant can ensure the necessary concentration of the fibre protectant due to the water level in the inner drum, thereby maintaining effective protection on the clothing during the rinsing process. The fibre protectant contains a silicone polymer, which enables the fibre protectant to form a protective film on the surface of the clothing, helping to preserve the gloss of the clothing, preventing stain accumulation, and eliminating foam, thereby achieving the purpose of rinsing and protecting the clothing.
However, the water level must not be lower than the minimum water level to ensure effective soaking and thus guarantee the washing and rinsing effects. The water level must not be higher than the maximum water level to prevent the clothing from floating on the water surface, which would prevent the water at the bottom from playing an effective washing role.
- The number of rinsing cycle does not exceed 3 times. Preferably, the number of rinsing cycle is controlled to be 1 time. One rinsing cycle is sufficient for thinner clothing, and two or three rinsing cycles may be needed for more and thicker clothing.
There are various ways to measure the eccentric adjustment threshold. A common way is to monitor the current of a drive motor and estimate its force. Definitely, a travel switch can also be used for detection. Increasing the eccentric adjustment threshold can shorten the time required for balancing the inner drum, thereby reducing the duration and frequency of the clothing being tumbled in the inner drum, and effectively protecting the clothing from being damaged. The dehydration stage lasts for 1-3 minutes.
- The specific washing process of clothing will be described below in conjunction with
FIG. 1 :
A washing procedure starts. - S1. Water and a wet washing solution are added. The amount of water is selected according to the type of clothing. The wet washing solution is added simultaneously during the water adding process, or the wet washing solution can be added first. The water flow flushes the wet washing solution into the inner drum, ensuring the clothing are soaked in the water. The rotation-stop ratio of the inner drum is 1:6 during the water adding process.
- S2. A washing operation is performed. The rotation speed of the inner drum is controlled at 25 rpm, and the rotation-stop ratio is controlled at 1:4, rotating for 5 seconds and stopping for 20 seconds. This ensures sufficient contact between the wet washing solution and the clothing, allowing the wet washing solution to fully activate. At the same time, spraying is initiated.
- S3. The machine remains stationary during drainage after washing is completed, with a drainage time of 30 seconds. A low water level in the washing machine eliminates the need for longer draining.
- S4. A dehydration operation is performed and lasts for 1.5 minutes.
- S5. The water and a fibre protectant are added. The fibre protectant may be added before or during the water adding process, as long as it can be flushed into the washing machine. The amount of water and the dosage of the fibre protectant are determined according to the weight of the clothing.
- S6. Rinsing is performed. The rotation-stop ratio during the rinsing process is also 1:4, and rotates for 5 seconds and stopping for 20 seconds. The rotation speed of the inner drum is controlled at 25 rpm.
- S7. The machine remains stationary during drainage, with a drainage time of 30 seconds.
- S8. Dehydration is performed and lasts for 1.5 minutes.
- The entire washing process is completed.
- It should be noted that performing washing and rinsing only once is not a limitation on the present invention. Without departing from the principle of the present invention, the number of washing cycles may also be increased accordingly based on the type, weight and stain of the clothing. The number of rinsing cycles may also be increased accordingly based on the amount of wet washing solution used and the type of clothing.
- So far, the technical solution of the present invention has been described in conjunction with the preferred implementations shown in the accompanying drawings. However, it is easy to understand for those skilled in the art that the scope of protection of the present invention is apparently not limited to these specific implementations. Without departing from the principles of the present invention, those skilled in the art may make equivalent modifications or substitutions to the relevant technical features, and the resulting technical solutions shall fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
