Description
- The subject-matter of the invention comprises a building partition screen screening material guide support mechanism spring winding assembly, and in particular a locking mechanism for the assembly spring in a wound position and a building partition screen with said assembly.
- A shutter assembly with camming-coupling means installed on a shutter support is disclosed under
. The camming-coupling means allow the shutter roller to spin relative to the support in one direction for initial tensioning of the spring and prevent it spinning in the opposite direction. The cam comprising a toothed disc attached to the roller, and the coupler comprising a ridge. Once the desired spring initial tension has been achieved, the spring's reactive force pushes the cam disc into a position where the coupler ridge is flush with the cam toothed disc preventing the spring from twisting in the opposite direction.GB1487329 - A garage gate with a toothed wheel installed on a roller axis near a gate end support has been disclosed under
CA2444799 . The gate also comprisingg an element setting the spring linked with the toothed wheel, a torsion spring with its first end provisionally attached to the gate multi-section door, and the other end attached to the spring setting element, rotatably attached catch which selectively couples with the toothed wheel in order to maintain a counterbalance force and toothed wheel disingagement in order to permit the counterweight force to be adjusted, and a locking assembly located on the catch, which may be selectively coupled with a supporting support in order to lock the catch in a coupled position. A window shutter with a spring winding mechanism, constructed out of a toothed wheel in a support socket, wherein the said socket features an opening for a catch, which locks toothed wheel rotation by locking the degree to which the spring mechanism may be wound has been disclosed underUS575572A . - The disclosed solutions have difficult access to the spring winding mechanism, therefore the subject-matter of the invention is an assembly according to claim 1, comprising a build which facilitates precise mechanism user control.
- The subject-matter of the invention is a building partition screen screening material guide support mechanism spring winding assembly. The spring winding assembly comprising a spring, intended to be seated on a longitudinal spring seating means such as a bar or a tube. One of the spring ends is anchored to a spring bracket, which is in turn seated on the longitudinal seating means. In the longitudinal spring seating means opposite end is placed a fin and a fin adapter, for the second spring end. The fin is an intermediate element between the longitudinal spring seating means and its winding insert seated in a partition screen cassette side body socket. The spring winding insert preferably comprising a central cross opening for the spring fin. Winding insert rotation in the cassette side body socket causes rotation of the longitudinal spring seating means and winding of the spring.
- The degree to which the spring is wound is selected for a given building partition screen, to ensure the screening material is stably guided there and back. After the spring has been wound, the winding insert has to be locked so that the spring does not return to its unwound position. The spring becomes locked when the winding insert assumes a locked position, locking the spring so that it does not return to the unwound position from a wound position. The winding insert is locked by at least one sprung arm. The cassette side body socket wall comprising at least one bay for a sprung arm, wherein the number of bays is dependent upon the number of sprung arms in the spring winding insert. One of the bays features a release opening and a recess for a sprung arm for the winding insert in a locked position. If the assembly features more than one sprung arm, then in the winding insert locked position, the sprung arms assume a released position in the remaining bays.
- During spring winding, the sprung arms move in an opposite direction to the aforementioned recess, whereas after the winding insert has been released, the sprung arms change their rotation direction and move in the opposite direction until one of the sprung arms is flush with the cassette side body socket wall recess. The winding insert is secured in a locked position by placing a means of attachment in the form of a screw in the winding insert channel.
- Preferably the winding insert features three sprung arms and three channels arranged between the sprung arms, every 120°, inter alia in order to facilitate positioning, i.e. centering of the winding insert in the side body socket. When the winding insert is in the locked position, one of the channels is in the cassette side body wall opening axis, through which a screw is inserted into the channel. Inserting a screw into the channel causes a partial rotation of the winding insert and relief of the sprung arm. To unlock the winding insert, i.e. to release the sprung arm from a recess, the attachment screw should be removed from the channel and the sprung arm should be pressed through the cassette side body socket wall release opening. To that end the sprung arm features a saddle shaped so that it accurately guides the press tool to its insertion into the said saddle. Once the sprung arms have left their bays, free movement of the winding insert in a socket is restrained by friction occurring between the winding insert sprung arms and the cassette side body socket wall.
- The winding assembly has been applied in the building partition screen, preferably a window awning, comprising a cassette with a winding roller to which the building partition screen screening material end is attached, and the winding roller is designed to take on and feed out the screening material during the coiling and uncoiling process. The building partition screen also features a beam to which the other end of the screening material is attached as well as couplers for the beam to lock it in a position where the building partition if fully screened.
- The assembly according to the invention facilitates adjustment of the degree to which the screening material guide support mechanism spring is wound as well as locking of uncontrolled rotation of the spring winding insert and unwinding of the spring, because every time the winding insert rotates back, one of its sprung arms stops it on a cassette side body socket bay recess.

Fig. 8 cassette side body on roof window hood with side body side casing elements - Building partition screen screening material 2 guide support mechanism spring winding assembly, wherein the partition screen comprising a cassette 3. The spring winding assembly comprising a spring 1 seated on a longitudinal spring seating means 11. One of the spring ends is anchored to spring bracket 12, which is in aforementioned longitudinal spring seating means 11 and together with the longitudinal spring seating means 11 are in a screen roller 8. The degree to which the spring is wound is controlled by a winding insert 4 located in a socket 51 of a cassette side body 5. The longitudinal spring seating means 11 opposite end comprising a fin 6 and a fin adapter 7, wherein the fin 6 is an intermediate element between the longitudinal spring seating means 11 and the winding insert 4 seated in the cassette side body 5 socket 51. The senod spring end is seated on the fin 6. A roller cork 81 is located between the winding insert and roller 8 such that the second spring end is anchored to said roller cork 81. The spring winding insert 4 preferably comprising a central cross opening 42 for spring fin 6. The winding insert 4 comprising a sprung arms 41, and the cassette side body 5 socket 51 comprising a bays 511 for said sprung arms 41. The socket 51 also comprising a recess 512 in one of a bays 511 and a release opening 51, where the sprung arm 4 comprises a saddle 411 on its end, arranged to be flush with the bay recess 512.
- The spring winding process constitutes the following stages:
- insertion of the winding tool into winding insert 4 central cross opening 42 and rotating it, so that the sprung arms 41 rotate in a direction opposite to the bay recess 512, wherein the longitudinal spring seating means 11 transfers winding insert 4 motion to the spring bracket 12 within which the spring is anchored, causing winding of spring 1,
- once spring 1 is wound to an appropriate degree, the winding tool is retracted from central cross opening 42, and the winding insert 4 rotates lightly in a direction opposite to that during winding, i.e. in the direction of the bay 511 recess 512 and assumes a locked position, where one of the sprung arms 41 is flush with that recess 512, and the remaining the sprung arms 41 in released positions are located in the remaining bays 511.
- The winding insert may also feature channels 43 between the sprung arms 41, arranged every 120° for attachment a screw 9, passing through a socket opening 513. To unlock winding insert 4, i.e. to release the sprung arm 41 from the recess 512, the screw 9 should be removed from the channel 43 and the sprung arm 41 should be pressed through a release opening 513. Then the winding insert rotates towards the recess 512, until it stops in a position where the sprung arm or the adjacent sprung arm stops again in the recess 512.
