Definitions
- the present description relates to an exhaust assembly for a turbomachine.
- the present description also relates to a turbomachine comprising such an assembly.
- a turbomachine 10 of the longitudinal axis double-flow turbojet type comprises, from upstream to downstream in the direction of gas circulation within the turbomachine 10, a fan 12, a low-pressure compressor 14a, a high-pressure compressor 14b, a combustion chamber 16, a high-pressure turbine 18a, a low-pressure turbine 18b and an exhaust nozzle 20.
- the high-pressure compressor 14b and the low-pressure compressor 14a are respectively connected to a high-pressure turbine 18a and a low-pressure turbine 18b by a respective shaft extending in the longitudinal direction of rotation of the shafts of the turbomachine.
- orientation qualifiers such as “longitudinal”, “radial” and “circumferential” are defined by reference to the longitudinal axis X.
- the air flow entering the turbomachine is divided, downstream of the fan 12, into an annular primary air flow entering a so-called primary annular stream 22a, and into a secondary annular air flow, entering in a so-called secondary annular vein 22b which surrounds the primary annular air vein 22a.
- the low-pressure compressor 14a and the high-pressure compressor 14b, the combustion chamber 16, and the high-pressure turbine 18a and the low-pressure turbine 18b, are located for the working parts in the primary annular vein 22a.
- An exhaust casing 30 is located directly at the outlet of the low-pressure turbine 28b.
- the exhaust casing 30 comprises a radially internal shroud 32 and a radially external shroud 34.
- An annular space formed between the internal shroud and the external shroud forms part of the primary vein 22a at the outlet of the low-pressure turbine 18b.
- the internal shell of the exhaust casing may be metallic, for example a titanium alloy or an Inconel® type alloy.
- the exhaust nozzle 20, or ejection nozzle, of the turbomachine 10 includes an exhaust assembly making it possible to optimize the flow of hot gases coming from the turbine.
- This assembly can also have the function of absorbing at least part noise generated by the interaction of these hot gases with the ambient air and with the flow of cold air coming from the blower.
- This exhaust assembly comprises an ejection cone 40 visible in Figures 1, 2 and 3 which comprises an upstream part 40a, of substantially axisymmetric shape around the longitudinal axis conical along the longitudinal axis X.
- the upstream part 40a comprises an upstream annular wall 44.
- the upstream annular wall 44 is connected to the downstream end of the internal shroud 32 of the exhaust casing 30 via a connecting flange 46.
- the connecting flange 46 is metallic, for example an alloy titanium or Inconel® type alloy.
- the connecting flange 46 comprises an annular part 47 around the longitudinal axis
- the annular wall 44 of the ejection cone 40 partly surrounds the tabs 50 and is connected to each of the tabs 50.
- Such flexible or flexible tabs 50 make it possible to compensate for the differential expansion phenomena occurring between the internal ferrule 32 of the casing. exhaust 30 and the ejection cone 40, these two elements being made of materials having different thermal expansion coefficients.
- An assembly is proposed for a longitudinal axis turbomachine comprising:
- connecting flange arranged longitudinally between the exhaust casing and the ejection cone, the connecting flange comprising an annular part which is fixed to the exhaust casing and connecting lugs extending longitudinally downstream from the annular part, the connecting tabs being distributed circumferentially around the longitudinal axis, each connecting tab being connected to the annular wall of the ejection cone,
- each sealing member closing in such a manner seals a space delimited circumferentially between a first connecting tab and a second connecting tab circumferentially consecutive and longitudinally between the annular part of the connecting flange and the annular wall of the ejection cone, each sealing member comprising a suitable external plate to be partly applied in the radial direction on a radially external face of each of the first and second connecting tabs.
- Each sealing member allows local sealing of only one of the spaces formed circumferentially between two circumferentially consecutive connecting tabs.
- Such a set of sealing members has a reduced mass compared to a single annular sealing member positioned between the upstream casing ferrule and the annular wall of the ejection cone to cover all the connecting tabs and effectively seal all free spaces.
- Each sealing member can have at least one degree of freedom of movement in the circumferential direction between the two adjacent tabs to be able to slide when the two tabs are separated or brought together.
- Each sealing member can have a degree of freedom in the longitudinal direction relative to the adjacent connecting tabs, the annular part of the upstream flange and the upstream wall of the ejection cone, to be able to slide relative to neighboring parts during deformations thermomechanics of these.
- each sealing member may comprise an external plate which is partly applied in the radial direction on a radially external face of each of the first and second connecting tab.

- Figure 4 represents an exhaust assembly for a turbomachine of longitudinal axis “circumferential”, are defined with reference to the longitudinal axis downstream (AV) in the turbomachine along the longitudinal axis X.
- the assembly firstly comprises an ejection cone 40.
- the ejection cone 40 comprises an upstream part 40a of substantially axisymmetric shape around the longitudinal axis conical along the longitudinal axis
- the upstream part 40a can be surrounded by an external annular wall (not shown) for the flow of a primary air flow.
- the upstream part 40a comprises an upstream annular wall 44.
- the internal annular wall 44 and the external annular wall of the cone ejection 40 can each be made of a ceramic matrix composite material. Such a material has a low density and thus allows a reduction in mass of the whole.
- the assembly may include a turbine exhaust casing (not shown).
- the exhaust casing is arranged upstream of the ejection cone 40.
- the exhaust casing includes in particular an internal shroud.
- the assembly also includes a connecting flange 46 arranged longitudinally between the exhaust casing and the ejection cone 40.
- the connecting flange 46 comprises an annular part 47 which is fixed to the exhaust casing.
- the annular part 47 of the connecting flange 46 comprises a radial annular wall 48 and a longitudinal annular wall 49.
- the longitudinal annular wall 49 extends longitudinally downstream from a radially outer end of the radial annular wall 48
- the radial annular wall 48 is intended to be fixed to the internal shell of the exhaust casing by screwing.
- the connecting flange 46 also comprises connecting tabs 50.
- Each connecting tab 50 extends downstream from the longitudinal annular wall 49 of the annular part 47.
- the connecting tabs 50 are distributed circumferentially around the longitudinal axis X.
- the connecting tabs 50 are here distributed regularly around the longitudinal axis To do this, the internal annular wall 44 of the ejection cone 40 surrounds a downstream end portion of each of the connecting tabs 50.
- a plurality of free spaces is thus defined. Each space is delimited circumferentially between a first connecting tab 50 and a second tab. connection 50 circumferentially consecutive and longitudinally between the annular part 47 of the connecting flange 46 and the annular wall of the ejection cone 40.
- Each connecting tab 50 may have a shape such that the dimension in the circumferential direction is constant from its attachment to the annular part 49 to close to its attachment with the internal wall 44 or that the dimension in the circumferential direction d an upstream end portion of the connecting tab 50 is greater than the dimension in the circumferential direction of a downstream end portion of the connecting tab 50.
- the dimension in the circumferential direction of each tab of connection 50 can narrow longitudinally downstream.
- Each space formed between two consecutive connecting tabs 50 then has a trapezoidal shape whose bases (i.e. the parallel sides) are spaced longitudinally.
- a small base of the trapezoidal shape of each space coincides with a downstream end portion of the annular part 47 of the connecting flange 46 which is located circumferentially between the two circumferentially consecutive connecting tabs 50.
- a large base of the trapezoidal shape of each space coincides with an upstream end portion of the annular wall of the ejection cone 40 which is located circumferentially between the two circumferentially consecutive connecting tabs 50.
- the assembly comprises a plurality of sealing members 60.
- Each sealing member 60 seals a corresponding space as described above.
- Each sealing member 60 therefore allows local sealing of only one of the spaces circumferentially formed by two circumferentially consecutive connecting tabs 50. This allows a reduction in the mass of the assembly compared to the use of an annular ring which surrounds all the connecting tabs 50 to close all the free spaces and which in fact presents segments not participating in the waterproofing.
- the sealing member 60 firstly comprises an external plate 70.
- the external plate 70 can be made of a metallic material.
- the external plate 70 comprises an external sealing wall 71.
- the external sealing wall 71 is arranged circumferentially between the first connecting tab 50 and the second connecting tab 50 which surround the sealing member 60.
- the wall of The external seal 71 therefore contributes to the sealing of the free space formed circumferentially between the first connecting tab 50 and the second connecting tab 50 and longitudinally between the annular part 47 of the connecting flange 46 and the wall. internal annular 44 of the cone ejection 40.
- the external sealing wall 71 has for this purpose a generally trapezoidal shape which coincides with the trapezoidal shape of the closed space.
- the external plate 70 further comprises a first external side tongue 76 and a second external side tongue 77.
- the first external side tongue 76 and the second external side tongue 77 extend circumferentially respectively from a first circumferential end and a second circumferential end of the outer sealing wall 71.
- the first circumferential end and the second circumferential end of the outer sealing wall 71 are circumferentially opposite each other.
- the first external lateral tongue 76 and the second external lateral tongue 77 are each applied in the radial direction respectively on the radially external face of the first connecting tab 50 and the radially external face of the second connecting tab 50.
- the first external side tongue 76 and the second external side tongue 77 have a dimension in the longitudinal direction identical to that of the external sealing wall 71, i.e. identical to that of the closed space.
- the external plate 70 also includes an external upstream tongue 78.
- the external upstream tongue 78 extends longitudinally upstream from the external sealing wall 71.
- the external upstream tongue 78 is applied in the radial direction on the longitudinal annular wall 49 of the connecting flange 46.
- the pressure of the hot gases circulating in the turbomachine is higher radially outside the assembly than inside.
- the pressure is higher radially outside the connecting tabs 50 and the internal annular wall 44 than in the volume defined radially inside the connecting tabs 50 and the internal annular wall 44.
- a radially inward force is exerted on the external plate 70 of each sealing member 60.
- the external plate 70 is then pressed against the radially external face of the first connecting tab 50, the second connecting tab 50 and the longitudinal annular wall 49 of the connecting flange 46 by the supports of the tongues 76, 77, 78. This thus allows better sealing at the level of the corresponding free space.
- the sealing member 60 also comprises an internal plate 80.
- the internal plate 80 can be made of a metallic material.
- the internal plate 80 is connected to the external plate 70.
- the internal plate 80 comprises an internal sealing wall 81.
- the internal sealing wall 81 is arranged circumferentially between the first connecting tab 50 and the second connecting tab 50.
- the internal sealing wall 81 therefore also contributes to the sealing of the free space formed circumferentially between the first connecting tab 50 and the second connecting tab 50 and longitudinally between the annular part 47 of the connecting flange 46 and the annular wall of the ejection cone 40.
- the internal sealing wall 81 has for this purpose a generally trapezoidal shape which coincides with the trapezoidal shape of the closed space.

This makes it possible to improve the seal radially between the sealing member 60 and the internal annular wall 44 of the ejection cone 40.
- a simple radial support of the first part 91 of the seal 90 on the internal annular wall 44 of the ejection cone 40 limits, or even prevents, the generation of mechanical stresses in the internal annular wall 44 of the ejection cone 40.
- the first part of the joint can be held in place by a retainer forming part of or fixed to the plate 70.
- the first part 91 of the joint 90 coincides here with a downstream end part of the joint 90.
- the seal 90 also includes a second part 92.
- the second part 92 is distinct from the first part 91.
- the second part 92 of the seal 90 is arranged radially between the external sealing wall 71 and the internal sealing wall 81. Such an arrangement allows the fixing of the seal 90 to the external plate 70 and the internal plate 80.
- the second part 92 of the seal 90 is generally flat.
- the second part 92 of the seal 90 comprises three holes 101 adapted to allow the passage of a connecting means 100 between the external sealing wall 71 and the internal sealing wall 81.

This makes it possible to confer freedom of movement on the sealing member 60 relative to the first connecting tab 50 and the second connecting tab 50 when these expand thermally during operation of the turbomachine. This makes it possible to limit, or even eliminate, the stresses induced in the fixing lugs.
- the external upstream tongue 78 can be connected to the annular part 47 of the connecting flange 46 by mechanical means (screwing, welding in particular).
- the sealing member 60 differs from the first embodiment in that the external sealing wall 71 and the internal sealing wall 81 each comprise a central part 72, 82, a upstream end portion 75, 85, a first circumferential end portion 73, 83 and a second circumferential end portion 74, 84.
