Abstract
It consists of a type of earring or piercing intended to be implanted on the tragus or cartilaginous projection of the ear located above the auditory meatus. The earring has three appendices (5) on its inner face, which determine three needles that press on the tragus (6) at points identified in Chinese medicine as "heart," "hunger," and "anxiety and stress," allowing for the treatment of anxiety, depression, hypertension, stress, insomnia, addictions, and weight loss, all without needing to visit a clinic.
Description
- The present invention relates to a therapeutic earring, based on the knowledge acquired from traditional Chinese medicine.
- It is a device based on pressure acupuncture (non-piercing), specially designed for the treatment of anxiety, depression, hypertension, stress, insomnia, addictions, and weight loss.
- Today's lifestyle increasingly leads to more stress, anxiety, and poor nutrition.
- All of this, combined over long and sometimes shorter periods, leads to health deterioration, which is sometimes irreversible.
- To address this issue, traditional Chinese medicine, recognized since 1979 by the WHO, offers treatments for more than 50 diseases based on acupuncture.
- Within this type of medicine, two different techniques are known: piercing acupuncture and pressure acupuncture.
- In either case, the problem with these techniques is that it is necessary to visit a clinic for treatment by specialized personnel, which involves undesirable costs and time availability.
- The therapeutic earring proposed by the invention satisfactorily solves the problem mentioned above with a simple yet highly effective solution.
- To this end, and more specifically, the device of the invention is constituted from a type of earring or piercing, intended to be implanted in the tragus of the ear, that is, in the cartilaginous projection of the ear located above the auditory meatus.
- This device includes an ornamental element to which a foldable clip is attached, with the peculiarity that from the inner side of the ornamental element, three non-piercing pressure needles emerge, intended to contact the "heart," "hunger," and "anxiety and stress" points defined by traditional Chinese medicine in that area of the tragus of the ear.
- Consequently, the application of the earring in this area will ensure that the needles press on these strategic points, allowing for the treatment of anxiety, depression, insomnia, addictions such as smoking, as well as calming hunger and reducing hypertension.
- In this way, it stimulates the points described above without the need to visit a clinic, offering an advantage both economically and in terms of free time, resulting in a device that is easy to apply, adaptable to countless decorative designs on the outer ornamental face of the device, attractive, functional, and with results backed by traditional Chinese medicine and the WHO.
- To complement the description that will be made below and to aid in a better understanding of the features of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical implementation, a set of drawings is included as an integral part of this description, in which, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following is represented:
-
Figure 1 : Shows a perspective view of a therapeutic earring made according to the object of the present invention. -
Figures 2 and3 : Show different perspectives of the device fromFigure 1 when opened. -
Figure 4 : Finally shows a view of the device applied to the tragus of a user's ear. - As can be seen in the referenced figures, the device of the invention starts from the conventional structure of an earring, in which a body (1) is defined, whose outer face (4) has an ornamental function, which can be decorated according to different design lines without affecting the essence of the invention, and which is finished off through hinge means (3) in a foldable clip (2) that stabilizes the device in its operational position.
- In line with the essence of the invention, it is planned that three appendices (5) determining three pressure needles emerge from the inner face of the body (1) of the earring.
- As mentioned earlier, and as shown in
Figure 4 , the device of the invention is intended to be implanted in the tragus (6) or cartilaginous projection of the ear located above the auditory meatus. - In this sense, the appendices (5) determining the pressure needles are arranged so that when the foldable clip (2) is closed on the inner side of the tragus (6), these appendices press on the outer side of the tragus at three specific points, which Chinese medicine identifies as "heart," "hunger," and "anxiety and stress." These points form an obtuse-angled triangle where the upper appendix is separated by approximately 6 millimeters from the central appendix, and the latter by approximately 5 millimeters from the lower appendix, forming an angle of about 145º, with the upper and lower appendices being almost vertically aligned.
- Based on this structure, and according to Chinese medicine, pressing these points allows treating anxiety, depression, insomnia, addictions, calming hunger, and reducing hypertension, all in a highly comfortable, quick, simple, and economical manner.
Claims (3)
- Therapeutic earring, characterized by incorporating a body (1) with an outer face (4) that has an ornamental function, and that is finished off through hinge means (3) in a foldable clip (2) that stabilizes the device in its operational position on the tragus (6) or cartilaginous projection of the ear located above the auditory meatus, characterized in that three appendices (5) determining three pressure needles emerge from the inner face of the body (1) of the earring.
- Therapeutic earring, according to claim 1, characterized in that the appendices (5) are arranged so that they press on the tragus (6) at points identified in Chinese medicine as "heart," "hunger," and "anxiety and stress."
- Therapeutic earring, according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the appendices (5) form an obtuse-angled triangle where the upper appendix is separated by approximately 6 millimeters from the central appendix, and the latter by approximately 5 millimeters from the lower appendix, forming an angle of about 145°, with the upper and lower appendices being almost vertically aligned.
