Abstract

This invention relates to the mechanism (1) used to open and close the manhole filling ports (2) used in bulk cargo filling in trailer |semi-trailer (A) vehicles carrying powder and granular materials, with a remote control without human touch. The opening and closing of the manhole cover (2) is accomplished by using the rotational power produced by the air pressure in the pneumatic actuator (4). The shaft of the pneumatic actuator (4) is connected to the rotation shaft (3) with a wedge connection and transmits the movement power.

Description

A COVER MECHANISM
Technical Field
This invention relates to the mechanism used to open and close the manhole filling ports used in bulk cargo filling in trailer/semi-trailer vehicles carrying powder and granular materials, with a remote control without human touch.
Prior Art
In current automatic opening manhole cover applications, the cover is opened with a pneumatic linear movement piston and a simple hinge structure. In these systems, contractions and snags occur when the lid is opened and closed. The system is difficult to open and is exposed to excessive friction. In silo trailers carrying granules and powder, the material enters the system and makes it difficult to open the system. However, since there is a mechanism on the vehicle that is not movable and closed, interference from the outside and/or insertion of foreign objects while the vehicle is driving may cause damage or breakdown of the system.
In the patent application document numbered TR2019/19807, which is in the state of the art, to be used during the filling-unloading operations of silo trucks carrying powder cement, flour, grain materials, calcite, silica sand and similar products on highways, A manhole cover comprising an upper body and a lower body collapsible to each other is disclosed. In the relevant application document, there is no mention of a structure used in the opening and closing of manhole covers with a remote control.
As a result, due to the inadequacy of the solutions to meet the above-mentioned needs, it was necessary to make a development in the relevant technical field.
Purpose of the Invention
The invention is inspired by current situations and aims to solve the above-mentioned disadvantages.
The purpose of the present invention is to reveal the mechanism used for opening and closing the manhole filling ports used in bulk cargo filling in trailer (semi-trailer) vehicles carrying powder and granular materials, with a remote control without human touch.
The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly thanks to the figures given below and the detailed description with reference to these figures, and therefore the evaluation should be made by taking these figures and detailed explanation into account.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the mechanism (1) subject to the invention are explained only for a better understanding of the subject. This invention relates to the mechanism (1) used to open and close the manhole filling ports (2) used in bulk cargo filling in trailer/semi-trailer vehicles carrying powder and granular materials, with a remote control without human touch.
The mechanism (1) that is the subject of the invention, shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2;
❖ manhole cover (2) that rotates and allows material filling,
❖ rotation shaft (3) used for turning the manhole cover (2),
❖ Pneumatic actuator (4), which is connected to the rotation shaft (3) with a wedge, generates air pressure and creates rotational power, moves the rotation shaft (3) thanks to the rotation power it produces, and thus enables the opening and closing of the manhole cover (2),
❖ rotation plate (5) that rotates the manhole cover (2) with the power coming from the rotation shaft (3),
❖ hinge lock plate (6) limiting the upward movement of the manhole cover (2),
❖ air seal (7), which inflates and moves the manhole cover (2) upwards and thus enables the manhole cover (2) to rest on the hinge lock plate (6),
❖ manhole neck (8) where hinge lock plate (6) and air seal (7) are connected,
❖ gasket (9) that provides sealing when the manhole cover (2) is closed,
❖ bearing (10) that facilitates the movement of the rotating shaft (3) and reduces friction,
❖ fixing plate (11) that ensures that the bearing (10) works without moving in the channel it sits in, and
❖ The connection plate (12), which is the part to which the pneumatic actuator (4) is connected, and which connects the seating channel of the bearing (10) to the manhole neck (8), contains.
The opening and closing of the manhole cover (2) is accomplished by using the rotational power generated by the pneumatic actuator (4) air pressure. It is fixed by connecting to the connection plate (12) of the pneumatic actuator (4). The shaft of the pneumatic actuator (4) is connected to the rotation shaft (3) with a wedge connection and transmits the movement power. The rotation shaft (3) works inside the bearing (10), increasing the rotational power and reducing friction. The fixing plate (11) ensures that the bearing (10) works without moving in the channel it sits in. The rotation shaft (3) connects to the rotation plate (5) and the hinge lock plate (6) and provides the manhole cover (2) to rotate. The air seal (7) inflates and rests on the manhole cover (2) and provides upward movement of the manhole cover (2). In this way, the upward movement of the manhole cover (2) is completed and locked. In addition, the air seal (7) remains inflated and stuck in between, thus ensuring tightness. Another part that provides sealing in the mechanism is the gasket (9). The manhole neck (8) is the part where the hinge lock plate (6) and the air seal (7) are connected, which limits the upward movement of the manhole cover (2).

Claims

CLAIMS A mechanism (1) used to open and close with a remote control without touching covers (2) that close the manhole filling ports used in bulk and cargo filling in trailers/semi-trailers (A) vehicles carrying powder and granular materials, which have a manhole cover (2) that rotates and allows material filling and characterized by comprising;
❖ rotation shaft (3) used for turning the manhole cover (2),
❖ pneumatic actuator (4), which is connected to the rotation shaft (3) with a wedge, generates rotational power by generating air pressure, moves the rotation shaft (3) thanks to the rotation power it produces, and thus enables the opening and closing of the manhole cover (2),
❖ rotation plate (5) that rotates the manhole cover (2) with the power coming from the rotation shaft (3),
❖ hinge lock plate (6) limiting the upward movement of the manhole cover (2),
❖ air seal (7), which inflates and moves the manhole cover (2) upwards and thus enables the manhole cover (2) to rest on the hinge lock plate (6),
❖ manhole neck (8) where hinge lock plate (6) and air seal (7) are connected,
❖ gasket (9) that provides sealing when the manhole cover (2) is closed,
❖ bearing (10) that facilitates the movement of the rotating shaft (3) and reduces friction,
❖ fixing plate (11) that enables the bearing (10) to work without moving on the channel it sits on and,
❖ connection plate (12), which is the part to which the pneumatic actuator (4) is connected, and which connects the seating channel of the bearing (10) to the manhole throat (8).
