More specifically, it proposes a method for measuring audience and attention, in real time by capturing and analyzing a succession of images, which helps the targeted customers to fully understand their audience.
- Digital signage devices can be located almost anywhere as they are now suitable for placement in an assortment of indoor and outdoor venues, and can come in a variety of sizes. As a result, advertisers are increasingly relying on digital signage devices to deliver their message.
- a single overhead camera has been applied by prior art, such as patent application US2009217315A1 and patent application US2011234794A1, but these methods merely detect the location of people, or provide head counting. Additionally, such detection systems use simplistic means to determine the presence of a person next to a video stream, including merges and splits of a region of interest, or the identification of spots and the assumption that each identification of a head represents a single person. Moreover, these methods recognize the movement rather than the attributes of individuals. For these reasons, these audience measurement methods may be inaccurate.

- the general idea of using automatic facial analysis to extract information about customer behavior is similar between the US document and the disclosed invention; however, the disclosed invention is more aimed at measuring the effectiveness of the display material for the customer audience, rather than measuring purchase behavior.
- US20190034706 has tried to solve the problem described below, it describes a computer implemented method relates to face tracking concepts with classifiers in which a plurality of images are captured, received and segmented into a series of image frames. One or more faces are identified and tracked in the images using a plurality of classifiers, then the plurality of classifiers are used to perform head pose estimation.
